Bollywood stars Madhuri Dixit and Jackie Shroff are gearing up for a nostalgic reunion as they will appear together on ‘The Great Indian Kapil Show’. A leaked promo from the upcoming episode has already created buzz online, offering fans a delightful glimpse of the two stars dancing, reminiscing, and sharing light-hearted banter about their journey in cinema. In a video shared by a paparazzo, Madhuri and Jackie were seen twinning in black ensembles.
Madhuri Dixit Nene dazzled in a striking black and red dress, while Jackie kept it classic in an all-black outfit topped with his signature hat. The duo recreated vintage magic as they grooved to Dev Anand and Kalpana’s iconic track ‘Are Yaar Meri Tum Bhi Ho Gazab’ from ‘Teen Deviyan’ (1965), sending fans into a wave of nostalgia.
Another promo video also captured a charming moment when Madhuri recited her unforgettable ‘Devdas’ dialogue to Jackie: “Yun nazar ki baat ki aur dil chura gaye… Hum to samjhe the boot, aap to dhadkan suna gaye!” The playful line left Jackie blushing. When host Kapil Sharma cheekily asked if his blood pressure is fine, Jackie responded in his trademark style, “No, I am finding doctor Nene,” referring to Madhuri’s husband, Dr. Shriram Nene.
Adding to the fun, Jackie shared that he was never nervous about dancing alongside Madhuri. He admitted he always believed the audience would be too busy watching her to notice him. Showering her with praise, he said, “She is best, she is so immersed in her role, she’s romancing.” The laughter continued as Krushna Abhishek mimicked Jackie’s style, while Kiku Sharda transformed into Chandramukhi from ‘Devdas’ and performed to ‘Dola Re Dola’, leaving everyone in splits.
The promo has left viewers eagerly waiting for the episode, especially given Madhuri and Jackie’s impressive filmography together, which includes ‘Devdas’, ‘Tridev’, ‘Khal Nayak’, ‘Total Dhamaal’, ‘Parinda’, ‘Ram Lakhan’, ‘Sangeet’, ‘100 Days’ and more.
Prior to their appearance, Shahid Kapoor visited the show with his ‘O Romeo’ team, including Avinash Tiwary, Triptii Dimri and Vishal Bhardwaj. ‘The Great Indian Kapil Show’ features Sunil Grover, Krushna Abhishek and Kiku Sharda, with Navjot Singh Sidhu and Archana Puran Singh as permanent guests. The show streams on Netflix, with new episodes dropping every Saturday.
Meanwhile, on the work front, Madhuri will soon be seen in ‘Maa Behen’, directed by Suresh Triveni. The dark comedy also stars Triptii Dimri, Dharnaa Durga and Ravi Kishan and is slated for release on Netflix this year, though the exact date remains unannounced.
Jackie, meanwhile, will appear next in ‘Welcome To The Jungle’ alongside Akshay Kumar, Suniel Shetty, Sanjay Dutt, Arshad Warsi, Paresh Rawal, Raveena Tandon and Lara Dutta. The film is scheduled to hit theatres on June 26.
