“Ladki Bhi Toh…”: Kunickaa Sadanand Defends Udit Narayan’s Indecent Act With Female Fans At Concert
Udit Narayan got embroiled in controversy after a video of him getting too close to female fans surfaced on the internet. Kunickaa Sadanand has now given her take on the same.
Singer Udit Narayan was recently caught in the middle of a huge controversy after a video went viral, in which he was seen getting too close to a few female fans during a concert. The musician received severe backlash over the incident. Now, singer Kunickaa Sadanand has given her take on the same, showing support for the veteran performer. However, she also said that Udit Narayan should have kissed his female fans on the cheeks, rather than lips.
While speaking to Hindi Rush, she said, “Udit Narayan ji ne kiss kia wo toh theek kia, lekin galat jagah par kiya. Gaal par kar deta lekin ab… I don’t blame anybody. Ab ladki bhi toh aayi hai saamne. Aapne aadmi pe kyu daal diya, ki tumne kyu kiss kiya? Ab aapki thali mein laddoo saj ke aayenge toh fir kya aap khayenge nahi unko.”
“That’s not fair. Just because he’s Udit Narayan, you’re saying why did you kiss her? Pehli baat toh stage show karna na, it’s a different emotion altogether. You’re so excited, the audience is giving you so much, you’re on a high. And jaise na aap nashe mein hote hain na, uss high mein, kabhi kabhi aap aisa dance ka step kar dete hain ki aapko pata nahi tha ki aap aisa dance bhi kar pate hain. I know ki bahut saari auratein mujhe trash karengi, ki what does she think, but aap khud ko bhi toh dekho, aap sirf aadmi ko kyu blame karogi?” she added.
For the unversed, the entire controversy erupted last month after a video emerged online, in which Udit Narayan was seen returning kisses to a female fan as he sang his popular 1990s song ‘Tip Tip Barsa Paani’ from Akshay Kumar and Raveena Tandon-starrer ‘Mohra’.
When a fan got close to the singer to take a selfie, Udit Narayan titled his head to kiss her on the lips.
Speaking about the incident with Bollywood Hungama, Udit Narayan had said, “Why would I do something now, at this stage of my life when I have achieved it all? There is a deep pure and unbreakable bond between my fans and I. What you saw in the so-called scandalous video was a manifestation of the love between my fans and I. They love me. I love them back even more.”
“Do you hear any regret or sorrow in my voice? In fact, I am laughing as I talk to you. It is not something sleazy or secret. It is there in the public domain. My heart is pure. If some people want to see something dirty in my act of pure affection, then I feel sorry for them. I also want to thank them. Because now they’ve made me even more famous than I already was,” he added.
