Watch: Kriti Sanon Shares Correct Pronunciation Of Her Name In Fun Video, Fans Say “Starbucks Waale Fir Bhi Galat Hi Likhenge”
Kriti Sanon, who was last seen in ‘Crew’, recently shared a video where she hilariously discussed the wrong pronunciations of her name.
Bollywood actress Kriti Sanon, who has already delivered two hits in 2024 in the form of ‘Crew’ and ‘Teri Baaton Mein Aisa Uljha Jiya’, recently addressed a common issue she faces – mispronunciation of her name. In a funny video, Kriti Sanon showcased various incorrect pronunciations she's encountered, along with a few people who got it right. With this video, she tried to show the correct way to say her name. She captioned the post, “No team members were harmed during the making of this video. P.S. For those still struggling, I hope this was helpful!”
In the video, Kriti Sanon can be seen wearing a stylish orange dress while discussing the wrong and correct pronunciations of her name.

The video showed moments when reporters, paparazzi and even crew members wrongly pronounced her first as well as last name during promotional events and on sets of her projects.
“So, over the years, I’ve heard various pronunciations of my name, both first and last, which I thought was a very simple name. But, apparently, it’s not,” Kriti said in the video she shared on Instagram.
The video included clips of reporters and several crew members mispronouncing her name, pronouncing Kriti as ‘Keerti’. A clip from ‘Teri Baaton Mein Aisa Uljha Jiya’ promotions also showed Kriti’s co-star Shahid Kapoor teaching everyone how to pronounce her name correctly.
While some succeeded, quite a few mispronounced both her first and last names.
Soon after Kriti Sanon shared this video on Instagram, several social media users reacted to her post. One user wrote, “Just call her Pretty Sanon!”
Another one added, “Starbucks waale fir bhi galat hi likhenge.”
A third user commented, “This was much needed.”
“The entire world needed this post, although it’s so simple to pronounce,” another comment on the post read.
Meanwhile, on the work front, the National Award-winning actress is currently working on her first production venture ‘Do Patti’. The Shashanka Chaturvedi directorial also stars Kajol and Shaheer Sheikh.
‘Do Patti’ is backed by Kriti's home banner Blue Butterfly Films, which she launched in July 2023. The upcoming Netflix movie marks Kriti Sanon’s second collaboration with Kajol after Rohit Shetty’s 2015 romantic action comedy ‘Dilwale’.
Co-produced by Kanika Dhillon, who also serves as the screenwriter, ‘Do Patti’ is slated to premiere on Netflix this year.
