Fresh off his first-ever National Award win, Bollywood star Kartik Aaryan marked the milestone with a spiritual visit to the Mahakaleshwar Temple in Ujjain. The actor, who was honoured with the Best Actor award at the 72nd National Film Awards for his performance in Kabir Khan's 'Chandu Champion', chose to celebrate the achievement by seeking the blessings of Lord Shiva. Taking to Instagram on Tuesday, Kartik shared glimpses from his temple visit.
Dressed in a baby pink shirt, the actor was seen standing with folded hands in prayer, sporting a tilak on his forehead as he paid his respects at the revered shrine. "Jai Mahakal," Kartik wrote as the caption.

Another glimpse captured Kartik alongside his parents during the temple rituals. The trio participated in the Shayan Aarti, after which the actor observed a long-standing temple tradition by whispering his wishes into Nandi Maharaj's ear. He then offered prayers at the sanctum of Lord Mahakal before concluding his visit.

The spiritual outing comes shortly after Kartik was named one of the Best Actor winners at the 72nd National Film Awards. He shared the honour with veteran actor Mammootty, who was recognised for his performance in 'Bramayugam'.
Soon after the awards were announced, Kartik shared an emotional video on social media that captured his mother's heartfelt reaction to the news.
Reflecting on the career-defining moment, he wrote, "Still processing... Some moments are simply bigger than words, and this is one of them. A dream I've carried for years has finally come true. Forever humbled, forever grateful. Best Actor National Award."
Directed by Kabir Khan, 'Chandu Champion' is a biographical sports drama inspired by the life of India's first Paralympic gold medallist, Murlikant Petkar. The film was co-produced by Kabir Khan and Sajid Nadiadwala under the banner of Nadiadwala Grandson Entertainment.
Along with Kartik in the lead role, the film features an ensemble cast including Vijay Raaz, Bhuvan Arora, Yashpal Sharma, Rajpal Yadav and Shreyas Talpade. Although ‘Chandu Champion’ received favourable reviews from critics and earned widespread appreciation for Kartik's performance, it could not translate that acclaim into strong box office numbers, finishing its theatrical run with an estimated worldwide collection of nearly Rs 89 crore.
