Watch: Kartik Aaryan Dances At Sister Kritika’s Haldi Ceremony
Kartik Aaryan’s sister Kritika is set to marry in Gwalior tomorrow.
It is a packed December for Bollywood heartthrob Kartik Aaryan. Between shooting for his creature film ‘Nagzilla’ and promoting his Christmas release ‘Tu Meri Main Tera Main Tera Tu Meri’, the actor is currently busy with a massive personal milestone: his sister, Kritika Tiwari, is getting married this week in their hometown of Gwalior, Madhya Pradesh. The celebrations kicked off this past weekend in Mumbai with an intimate haldi ceremony. Viral videos surfacing on fan clubs show Kartik affectionately applying turmeric and showering flower petals on his sister, surrounded by their parents and close friends.
The vibe soon turned into a dance party, with the siblings shaking a leg to the iconic track ‘Kajra Re’ from ‘Bunty Aur Babli’. Their mother, Mala Tiwari, also joined in, making it a perfect family moment.
The highlight of the preparations, however, was a hilarious Instagram Reel shared by the bride-to-be. Set to the track ‘Gal Mitthi Mitthi’ from ‘Aisha’, the video documented the family’s staff loading wedding luggage into a truck bound for Gwalior.
In the clip, Kritika asked her father, Manish Tiwari, to reveal the wedding hashtag – #Tikki (derived from her nickname, Kiki). In a moment of pure comedy, her father misheard "hashtag" as "hairstyle," asking confusedly, “Hairstyle?” before bursting into laughter. He then playfully questioned the choice of #Tikki, asking, "What is this? When did you keep this one?" before the entire staff screamed the hashtag in unison to make it official.
The family has now touched down in Gwalior, where the wedding is expected to take place tomorrow, December 4. While Kartik has yet to post officially on his Instagram, which is currently filled with fan recreations of his new film's hook step, leaked clips show him busy on the phone at the grand wedding venue.
Kartik’s upcoming romantic comedy ‘Tu Meri Main Tera Main Tera Tu Meri’, co-starring Ananya Panday and backed by Karan Johar’s Dharma Productions, is slated to hit cinemas on December 25.
