Kangana Ranaut Compares Imane Khelif-Angela Carini Row To “Male Beating A Female In Physical Abuse Scenario”
Kangana Ranaut has reacted to Algerian boxer Imane Khelif’s controversial win at the Paris Olympics 2024.
Bollywood actress Kangana Ranaut, who never shies away from speaking her mind, recently reacted to the boxing match between Italy's Angela Carini and Algerian boxer Imane Khelif. The actress-politician called the match “unfair” as she spoke against the Algerian boxer's controversial win. The boxer's win at the Paris Olympics 2024 has sparked a major debate on the internet. Kangana Ranaut took to her Instagram Stories and shared a picture of Angela Carini crying in the ring after she lost the match and her nose was broken.
Kangana Ranaut, who is known for her candid and unfiltered opinions, wrote, “This girl had to fight a 7 feet tall naturally born male, who has all body parts like a natural male, he looks and behaves like a man, he beat her in the boxing ring like a male beats a female in physical abuse scenario but he says he identifies as a female so guess who won the women's boxing match? Woke culture is the most unfair and unjust practice. Speak up before it is your baby girl whose job or medal taken away. #SaveWomenSports #AngelaCarini.”

In another Instagram Story, she wrote, “So basically to be able to have a woke relationship (homosexual relationship) one partner must play female role and the other one must play a male role. They love to play stereotypical male female archetypes but simultaneously encourage regular women to be effeminate in the name of feminism. Hmmm…strange! Honestly, I love homosexuals, some of my closest friends are homosexuals and they are very talented and exceptionally brilliant. That's why I think they don't have to imitate anyone for acceptance.”
For the unversed, Algeria's Imane Khelif defeated Italy's Angela Carini at the ongoing Paris Olympics 2024 on Thursday. The Algerian boxer is now being called out on social media for her controversial win.
Earlier, Khelif was disqualified from the 2023 World Championship after she failed an unspecified gender eligibility test. However, she was allowed to participate in the ongoing Olympics, and this has caused a huge debate.
The Olympics boxing match has sparked a debate on gender eligibility rules in women's sports. Italy Prime Minister Giorgia Meloni also met with boxer Angela Carini in Paris on Thursday. Meloni posted a picture of herself consoling Carini and wrote in Italian on X (formerly Twitter), “I know that you won't give up Angela, and I know that one day you will get what you deserve through strength and sweat. In a competition that is finally equal.”
‘Harry Potter’ series author JK Rowling also took to X to slam Imane Khelif. In a series of posts, JK Rowling slammed the Olympics organisers as well.
“Could any picture sum up our new men’s rights movement better? The smirk of a male who’s knows he’s protected by a misogynist sporting establishment enjoying the distress of a woman he’s just punched in the head, and whose life’s ambition he’s just shattered. #Paris2024,” she said in one of her tweets.
In another tweet, she wrote, “Watch this (whole thread), then explain why you’re OK with a man beating a woman in public for your entertainment. This isn’t sport. From the bullying cheat in red all the way up to the organisers who allowed this to happen, this is men revelling in their power over women.”
Coming back to Kangana Ranaut, the actress-politician will be next seen in her directorial venture ‘Emergency’, in which she portrays former Indian Prime Minister Indira Gandhi.
