The festive season is in full swing, and Mumbai's Durga Puja pandals are shimmering with devotion, tradition, and, of course, a galaxy of Bollywood stars. Every year, we see our favourite celebrities, dressed in their traditional best, seeking blessings from the goddess. But this year, amidst the vibrant celebrations, a viral video has caught everyone's attention, showing that even the most cheerful stars have their limits. The star of the moment? The ever-bubbly Kajol, who had a rather stern message for the over-enthusiastic paparazzi.
In a video making the rounds on social media, Kajol can be seen navigating the crowded pandal, looking elegant in a mauve-pink tissue silk saree. The atmosphere, however, was far from serene. The clip was filled with the deafening shouts of photographers, all clamouring to get the perfect shot. As the noise reached a crescendo, Kajol, visibly irritated by the chaos in a place of worship, turned towards the media.
Putting her hand up, she firmly told them, “Shaant, chillao mat bilkul”. Her expression said it all – she was not pleased with the disruption. While Kajol is known for her friendly and playful banter with the media, this moment was a clear reminder that there is a time and place for everything.

In another viral video from the pandal, Kajol was seen posing with Twinkle Khanna and Rani Mukerji. They chose gorgeous silk sarees for the occasion. Rani looked graceful in a red silk saree featuring intricate gold accents, while Twinkle stunned in a vibrant light green saree decorated with gold brocade and lace work.
Another highlight from the Durga Puja festivities was Kajol managing to make Jaya Bachchan smile. For the unversed, Jaya Bachchan is notorious for being too strict with fans and the paparazzi. She dislikes it when people get too casual with her boundaries or create a ruckus at events.
The veteran actress made a striking appearance at the Durga Puja pandal organised by Kajol and her family in Mumbai on the occasion of Ashtami. Dressed in a vibrant red saree, Jaya posed with Kajol for the paparazzi. But what followed was a moment that instantly became the highlight of the evening.
After clicking a few pictures together, Kajol decided to surprise Jaya with a playful challenge. While her words weren’t clearly audible, Kajol’s gestures — pointing at Jaya and stepping aside — made it evident that she was asking her to pose solo for the photographers.
The suggestion seemed to catch Jaya off guard. For a moment, she looked visibly shocked and a little confused at Kajol’s request. But as Kajol moved away, leaving her in the spotlight, Jaya obliged. Breaking into a radiant smile, she posed for the cameras alone.

The photographers, thrilled at the rare sight of Jaya happily smiling solo for them, broke into cheers. Encouraged by their enthusiasm, Jaya’s smile grew even brighter.
Meanwhile, on the work front, Kajol was last seen in the supernatural horror thriller ‘Maa’. The actress can now be seen in the sequel to her series ‘The Trial’. The show, an adaptation of Robert and Michelle King’s ‘The Good Wife’, features her as lawyer Noyonika Sengupta.
It also stars Jisshu Sengupta, Alyy Khan, Sheeba Chaddha, Kubbra Sait and Gaurav Pandey in key roles, and released on JioHotstar on September 19.
