More than a decade after its release, the iconic Bollywood track ‘Sheila Ki Jawani’ continues to make waves – this time reaching Hollywood star Karen Gillan. The energetic dance number from ‘Tees Maar Khan’, originally performed by Katrina Kaif, has now found its way onto the playlist of the ‘Jumanji’ actress. Karen Gillan recently shared a fun TikTok video in which she was seen dancing enthusiastically to the track, proving just how irresistible the song still is.
In the clip, Karen Gillan appears to be inside what looks like a vanity van and is dressed in the costume of her Jumanji character. As ‘Sheila Ki Jawani’ begins playing in the background, the actress gets up and starts grooving to the beats with full enthusiasm. The lively video was later shared by a fan on X, where it quickly grabbed attention and sparked a wave of amused reactions from fans online.

Another commented, “Well, 'Sheila ki Jawani' is an iconic song indeed.” One user admitted they were initially skeptical, writing, “I almost didn't believe it until Karen started mouthing the lyrics!” Another fan celebrated the global reach of the song, saying it is “a hit that crossed cultures, genders, borders, nations… an international hit.” Echoing the sentiment, another user added, “That's right. Originally released in 2009, ‘Sheila Ki Jawani’ became an instant chartbuster. The song was composed by the music duo Vishal–Shekhar and sung by Vishal Dadlani and Sunidhi Chauhan. The high-energy dance number was choreographed by Farah Khan, who has previously spoken about its surprisingly simple production.
During a vlog filmed while visiting actor Manasi Parekh’s home, Farah Khan revealed that the song was shot with minimal resources. “We didn’t have any set for it. All we had were these 10 dancers. We finished shooting the entire song in just three and a half shifts. It is the cheapest song I have done and the biggest hit of my career. One of the top three-four hits,” she said.
Meanwhile, on the professional front, Katrina Kaif was last seen in the 2024 thriller ‘Merry Christmas’, directed by Sriram Raghavan. The film also starred Vijay Sethupathi in the lead role. While the movie did not perform well at the box office, it received appreciation from viewers after its release on OTT platforms. Katrina has not yet announced her next film project.
Meanwhile, the actress also entered a new chapter in her personal life last year. Four years after tying the knot with actor Vicky Kaushal, Katrina embraced motherhood.
The couple welcomed their first child, a baby boy named Vihaan, on November 7, 2025. Sharing the happy news with fans on Instagram, they wrote, “Our bundle of joy has arrived. With immense love and gratitude, we welcome our baby boy.”
