Kareena Kapoor's sons, Taimur and Jeh, met football legend Lionel Messi in Mumbai recently.
Bollywood star Kareena Kapoor Khan recently fulfilled a major wish for her sons, Taimur and Jeh Ali Khan, by taking them to meet Argentine football icon Lionel Messi. The legend is currently in Mumbai as part of his GOAT India Tour 2025. While the meet-and-greet was a star-studded affair, it was the youngest Khan, Jeh, whose antics have taken social media by storm. A video from the event surfaced on Sunday, capturing the memorable interaction. Kareena, beaming with joy, posed with her two sons alongside the World Cup winner.
Once the photos were done, Kareena and Taimur began to walk away to let others step in. However, Jeh stayed put. The little one walked straight up to Messi and stood firmly by his side, clearly unwilling to end the meeting. A visibly amused Kareena had to gently pull her son away, a moment that has left fans in splits.

Fans couldn't get enough of Jeh’s determination. Comments flooded in describing the little one as a “mood”.
“At least baju mein toh khade hone de deti na,” one user joked.
Others commented, “Jeh is holding Messi and leaving Bebo” and called the interaction “utterly adorable”.
Prior to the viral video, Kareena posted an Instagram Story leading her boys to the event. Kareena wore a chic khaki one-piece. The boys sported football jerseys. Taimur’s jersey featured Messi’s name, while Jeh’s jersey read “Argentina”.
Lionel Messi’s visit to India has been a whirlwind. After a disappointing start in Kolkata and a successful event in Hyderabad, Messi arrived in Mumbai to meet fans at the Wankhede Stadium.
Before Kareena, Bollywood superstar Shah Rukh Khan had travelled to Kolkata with his son, AbRam, to meet the legend, creating significant buzz online. This meeting aligned perfectly with the interests of Kareena's sons. In a previous podcast with Soha Ali Khan, Kareena revealed that Taimur is far more interested in sports stars than Bollywood actors.
Taimur once asked to join a cooking class because his father (Saif Ali Khan) cooks, but showed no interest in theatre. Taimur frequently asks his mother, “Are you friends with Rohit Sharma? With Virat Kohli? Do you have Lionel Messi’s contact?”
She admitted she often has to tell him, “No, I don’t know him, you can’t just message him!” when he asks to request cricket bats or send questions to athletes.
