Janhvi Kapoor’s Incredible Transformation For ‘Mr & Mrs Mahi’ Impresses Fans
Janhvi Kapoor and Rajkummar Rao will soon be seen in Sharan Sharma’s ‘Mr & Mrs Mahi’.
Bollywood actress Janhvi Kapoor, one of the fittest actresses in India, made her Bollywood debut opposite Shahid Kapoor’s brother Ishaan Khatter in the 2018 Hindi movie ‘Dhadak’, directed by Shashank Khaitan. The romantic drama film, which served as the Hindi adaptation of the Marathi blockbuster ‘Sairat’, was a critical and commercial success. Janhvi Kapoor then starred in a number of movies, including ‘Ghost Stories’, ‘Gunjan Saxena: The Kargil Girl’, ‘Roohi’, ‘Good Luck Jerry’, ‘Mili’ and ‘Bawaal’. With each film of hers, Janhvi Kapoor tries to showcase her range as an actor as she picks diverse scripts and roles.
Now, Janhvi Kapoor is all set to showcase her cricketing skills in the upcoming Hindi movie ‘Mr & Mrs Mahi’, co-starring Rajkummar Rao. Ahead of the film’s release on May 31, director Sharan Sharma took to Instagram and shared a set of two photos featuring Janhvi Kapoor’s cricket learning journey.

In the first photo, Janhvi Kapoor can be seen wearing casuals and holding a cricket bat. In the second picture, she is seen batting like a cricketer.
Soon after Sharan Sharma shared the photos on Instagram, Janhvi Kapoor took to post’s comment section and reacted to it.
She commented, “2 yrs 9 kilos 2 dislocations and many fights later. Wouldn’t have done it any other way. Still the most special journey.”
Several social media users also reacted to Janhvi Kapoor’s incredible transformation for the film. One fan wrote, “The fact that you underwent physical transformations, faced challenges, and even experienced dislocations shows your determination and passion for your craft. It's evident that you poured your heart and soul into the project, and it super incredibly special journey for u. we’re proud of u and excited to see the movie.”

A few days ago, the film’s trailer was released. And the heart-warming trailer showcased Rajkummar Rao as Mahendra (Mahi), a former aspiring cricketer who later saw potential in his wife Janhvi’s character, also named Mahi, a doctor. Encouraging her to pursue cricket, the trailer provided a look into their story filled with dreams, ambitions, and the imperfectly perfect love story of the duo.
Apart from Janhvi Kapoor and Rajkummar Rao, ‘Mr & Mrs Mahi’ also stars Abhishek Banerjee, Rajesh Sharma, Kumud Mishra and Zarina Wahab.
The upcoming film is directed by Sharan Sharma, who is known for his directorial debut ‘Gunjan Saxena: The Kargil Girl’. ‘Mr & Mrs Mahi’ marks the second collaboration between Janhvi Kapoor and Sharan Sharma.
Apart from ‘Mr & Mrs Mahi’, Janhvi Kapoor has ‘Devara: Part 1’ in the pipeline, which marks her Telugu debut. The upcoming movie will also star Jr NTR and Saif Ali Khan. She will also be seen in ‘Ulajh’, alongside Gulshan Devaiah.
