Janhvi Kapoor won hearts after subtly hiding boyfriend Shikhar Pahariya's nickname "Shikhu" in her mehendi at Anshula Kapoor's wedding celebrations.
Bollywood actress Janhvi Kapoor has always been known for her impeccable style, but at her sister Anshula Kapoor’s recent wedding reception, it was a tiny, romantic detail that stole the show. Dressed to the nines in a stunning mauve silk saree and strapless blouse designed by Manish Malhotra, the ‘Dhadak’ actress looked absolutely radiant. But amidst the praise for her elegant ensemble, eagle-eyed fans spotted something much sweeter: a tribute to her boyfriend, Shikhar Pahariya.
Taking to Instagram to share a series of gorgeous photos from the celebrations, Janhvi gave fans a closer look at her intricate yet minimal mehendi design. Woven seamlessly into the henna was the name "Shikhu," written in Hindi – a sweet, subtle nod to Shikhar that quickly had fans swooning over the romantic gesture. The name reveal occurred in slide 10 of her post.

This isn't the first time the Bollywood actress has publicly acknowledged her relationship through her fashion choices. Back in 2024, at the screening of her father Boney Kapoor’s film ‘Maidaan’, Janhvi stepped out wearing a custom necklace that also bore his nickname, "Shiku." She also famously slipped up during an appearance on ‘Koffee With Karan’, accidentally revealing that Shikhar was a staple on her speed dial.
Janhvi and Shikhar’s love story is one that spans several years. According to reports, the two have known each other since they were teenagers, with their friendship eventually blossoming into romance. Rumours of them dating first surfaced back in 2016, though they reportedly parted ways after Janhvi made her big Bollywood debut in 2018. During their time apart, the couple kept their personal lives strictly under wraps, avoiding any public commentary on the split.
However, by 2023, the tide seemed to have turned. The pair were spotted together at various events – from parties and vacations to Anant Ambani's wedding celebrations and several visits to the Tirupati temple – sparking rumours of a reconciliation.
For those unfamiliar, Shikhar Pahariya is well-connected in Mumbai’s high society. The grandson of former Maharashtra Chief Minister Sushilkumar Shinde and the son of business magnates Smruti Shinde and Sanjay Pahariya, Shikhar is an entrepreneur and investor. He holds a degree in Global Financial Management from Regent's University London and has co-founded the gaming platform Indiawyn Gaming, later establishing the global infrastructure development firm Basilius International.
On the professional front, Janhvi was most recently seen in Ram Charan’s ‘Peddi’. Up next, she is set to star in Dharma Productions’ highly anticipated ‘Lag Ja Gale’.
