Hrithik Roshan Disagrees With “Politics” Of ‘Dhurandhar’, But Calls Film “Amazing”
Hrithik Roshan shared his thoughts about Ranveer Singh and Aditya Dhar’s ‘Dhurandhar’.
It’s fair to say that ‘Dhurandhar’ mania has gripped the entire country, and the film continues to wreak havoc at the box office. The Aditya Dhar-directed film, starring Ranveer Singh, Akshaye Khanna, R. Madhavan, Arjun Rampal, and Sanjay Dutt, is raking in the moolah at the ticket counters, as it has found appreciation from all corners of the country. Several prominent names within Bollywood have begun to praise the project, which is ushering in a new era of spy and espionage films in India.
Bollywood superstar Hrithik Roshan is the latest celebrity to share his thoughts about ‘Dhurandhar’. However, his praise is not that straightforward as he also listed out the problematic politics of the film, saying filmmakers need to be responsible.
It is worth mentioning that 'Dhurandhar' borrows several real-life events and mixes them with fiction to create a gripping 3-hour and 32-minute saga, setting the stage for 'Dhurandhar 2', which is scheduled to hit the theatres on March 19, 2026.
Taking to Instagram Stories, Hrithik wrote, “I love cinema, I love people who climb into a vortex and let the story take control, spin them, shake them until what they want to say is purged out of them onto that screen. Dhurandhar is an example of that. Loved the storytelling. It’s cinema.”
"I may disagree with the politics of it, and argue about the responsibilities us filmmakers should bear as citizens of the world. Nevertheless, can’t ignore how loved and learnt from this one as a student of cinema. Amazing," he added.

Hours after sharing this message on Instagram Stories, the 'War' actor took to the platform once again to congratulate all the actors involved for delivering a fantastic performance and elevating the spy saga.
"Still can’t get DHURANDHAR out of my mind. @adityadharfilms you are an incredible maker man. @ranveersingh the silent to the fierce what a journey and so damn consistent. #akshaykhanna has always been my fav and this film is proof why. @actormaddy bloody mad grace, strength and dignity!! But man @rakeshbedi what you did was phenomenal.. what an ACT, brilliant!! A huge big round of applause for everyone especially the makeup and prosthetics dept! I can’t wait for part 2!!!" he wrote.

Speaking of 'Dhurandhar', the film earned Rs 27 crore on Wednesday, the sixth day of its release, taking the total nett collection to Rs 180.25 crore, according to industry tracker Sacnilk.
Earlier, Akshay Kumar and Farhan Akhtar also took to social media to praise the film, especially the direction by Aditya Dhar. Ayushmann Khurrana also called Ranveer Singh a "stud" for his portrayal in the project.
The film is an underworld saga that follows a network of criminals, informants, and operatives. The film is produced by Aditya Dhar and his brother Lokesh Dhar through their banner B62 Studios alongside Jyoti Deshpande of Jio Studios.
