Watch: Kajol, Farah Khan And Dilip Serve Laughter In The Kitchen While Making Prawn Biryani
Kajol, who admitted that she’s no kitchen expert, recently tried her hand at making prawn biryani with help from Farah Khan and her cook Dilip.

When two Bollywood powerhouses like Kajol and Farah Khan share a kitchen, you know it’s going to be anything but ordinary. Known for her infectious energy and witty humour, Farah Khan has turned her kitchen into a celebrity hotspot through her cooking vlogs. And this time, she invited none other than Kajol, whose new Hindi movie ‘Maa’ released in theatres today. The result? A delightful, fun episode filled with laughter, confusion, and culinary misadventures.
The vlog opened with Kajol stepping into Farah’s kitchen, determined yet clearly out of her depth. As a fun test, Farah Khan started quizzing her on different spices. Holding up shahi jeera, she asked Kajol to identify it. A few wrong guesses later – and with a clue involving Shah Rukh Khan – Kajol finally got it. The guessing game continued as Farah showed star anise. Kajol, completely stumped, said, “I am the biggest fool!” Farah groaned, “You are the biggest star, man! This is star anise!” Kajol burst into laughter as she said, “Acha, I am a star!”
But the real twist came when even Farah Khan couldn’t identify a spice. Looking puzzled, she said, “Yeh toh mujhe bhi nahi pata, kya hai yeh?” Enter Dilip, Farah’s beloved cook, who revealed it’s badi elaichi (black cardamom), leaving both Kajol and Farah in splits.
As the cooking began, Kajol followed Dilip’s guidance and added tomatoes. When reminded about salt, Kajol declared, “I love namak!” prompting a confused Farah to ask, “Who doesn’t?” Kajol elaborates that she doesn’t believe in limiting salt like most people. Farah, in her trademark sass, joked, “Namakharam hai woh saare!”
One of the most surprising moments came when Farah revealed how she found Dilip – standing outside Kajol and Ajay Devgn’s house! “I recruited him straight from there,” she laughed and said.
Later, Dilip playfully reassured a nervous Kajol while cooking with hot oil, quoting Shah Rukh Khan’s iconic line, “Main hoon na.” Kajol burst out laughing, “Farah, you’ve even taught him movie dialogues!”
In the end, Dilip whipped up Kajol’s favourite prawn biryani and kebabs to perfection. The episode was not just about food – it was a warm, hilarious peek into friendships, behind-the-scenes bonds, and the sheer joy of cooking with heart.
