Dhanush's New Movie With Aanand L Rai Titled ‘Tere Ishk Mein’ Is Everything 'Raanjhanaa' And More!
Tere Ishk Mein: Aanand L Rai’s directorial starring Dhanush as Shankar in the lead role announced with exciting video.
‘Raanjhanaa’, directed by Aanand L Rai, released in theatres on June 21 2013, and the film has completed 10 years. The film starred Dhanush and Sonam Kapoor in the lead roles. It also marked Dhanush and Aanand L Rai’s first collaboration, post which the two also worked together in the 2021 film ‘Atrangi Re’, which also starred Sara Ali Khan and Akshay Kumar. Now, as Raanjhanaa clocked 10 years, Dhanush and Aanand L Rai have announced yet another collaboration.
The actor announced his next Hindi film with Aanand L Rai titled ‘Tere Ishk Mein’. The film was announced with a video where Dhanush speaks as his character from the film, Shankar, and it appears that this character also belongs to the “world of Raanjhana”.

The video shows Dhanush running in dark lanes with a Molotov cocktail in his hand. At the end of his monologue, he says, “Pichli baar toh Kundan tha, maan gaya. Par iss baar Shankar ko kaise rokoge?”
For the unversed, Kundan is the name of Dhanush's character from ‘Raanjhanaa’. The Indian actor is seen with long hair and a beard in the title announcement video.
He sported a grey T-shirt, shirt and denims. An instrumental version of AR Rahman's music from ‘Raanjhanaa’ played in the background.
Aanand L Rai also posted the title announcement video on Instagram, while revealing what to expect from the movie.
He wrote, “Kuch kahaniyan kisi purane dost jaisi mil jaati hain! Jo haath nahin milaati, seedhe aake gale lag jaati hain…10 saal pehle ek aisi hi kahani mili thi humein... Kundan ki kahani. Dost tha mera, par jee naa saka... uska mood nahi tha jeena ka! Ab 10 saal baad phir ek kissa aaya hai; Kundan aur ye ladka ek se hi hain, bus iska mood duniya phoonk dene ka hai! Sirf aapke liye…’Tere Ishk Mein’.”
The upcoming Hindi film will be directed by Aanand L Rai. The story, dialogues and screenplay will be by Himanshu Sharma and Neeraj Yadav.
The film will be produced by Himanshu Sharma. Aanand L Rai has roped in AR Rahman for music and Irshad Kamil for lyrics. The rest of the cast members are yet to be announced.
‘Raanjhanaa’ is a romantic drama film directed by Aanand L Rai and written by Himanshu Sharma. Apart from Dhanush and Sonam Kapoor, it starred Abhay Deol, Mohammed Zeeshan Ayyub and Swara Bhasker. It marked the Hindi film debut for Dhanush.
