In a deeply emotional and devastating revelation, Bollywood actress Celina Jaitly has opened up about the agonizing ordeal she is currently facing amid her ongoing divorce battle with her estranged husband, Austrian hotelier Peter Haag. Taking to Instagram, the actress shared a heartbreaking video of her visit to the grave of her late son, Shamsher, in Austria, while dropping shocking allegations against Peter Haag regarding the custody of her surviving children and her premarital assets.

Celina Jaitly, who travelled to Austria for a two-week stay to attend a divorce hearing, described the trip as the “most brutal” experience of her life. According to the actress, despite an undertaking before an Austrian judge and a subsisting order of the Austrian Family Court granting joint custody, she has been completely “denied communication” and access to her three living children.

“The only child I got to meet was my son Shamsher, who passed away some time back,” the grieving mother wrote. Shamsher, one of her second set of twins born in 2017, tragically passed away due to a congenital heart condition shortly after birth. Celina alleged that her other children were removed to an “undisclosed location” and were not brought back to the marital residence during her stay in Austria.
In her detailed social media post, the actress laid bare her sacrifices, recalling how she left her country, her parents, and her work in India. She detailed her relocations from India to Dubai, Singapore, Austria, back to Dubai, and Austria again, all to single-handedly raise her children and support her husband's career and ambitions. Now, she claims her dedication to the marriage is being met with severe emotional distress, stating she watched her assets be taken away piece by piece and “beared abuse”.
Celina also accused her estranged husband of attempting to “snatch away” her remaining premarital assets. She stated that although she repeatedly sought an amicable separation in good faith, prioritising only the welfare of their children, every request was countered with unreasonable demands. These demands, she alleges, are intended to strip her of her freedom and dignity even after the divorce. Furthermore, she expressed deep fears that her children could be permanently scarred by the unfolding events. She claims they are being manipulated, brainwashed, and intimidated to compel them to say things against her. She also stated there has been repeated interference with access and exposure to selective media narratives, which has obstructed regular parent-child communication.
Detailing the bizarre and painful circumstances of how the separation officially began, Celina revealed that in early September, she was served a divorce notice by Peter Haag under the pretext of visiting the local post office to collect a 15th wedding anniversary gift – a trip to which he drove her himself.
The couple, who tied the knot in 2011, share twin boys Winston and Viraaj (born in 2012) and Arthur (the surviving twin from 2017). This new chapter of allegations follows a domestic violence case Celina filed against Peter Haag last year before the Judicial Magistrate First Class in Andheri's Court, Mumbai, Maharashtra. In that suit, filed under the Domestic Violence Act, she cited domestic violence, cruelty, and manipulation, seeking Rs 50 crore in damages and other sums in lieu of her loss of income and property.
