Anees Bazmee Speaks About Box Office Clash Between ‘Bhool Bhulaiyaa 3’ And ‘Singham Again’
Anees Bazmee has opened up on the box office clash between ‘Bhool Bhulaiyaa 3’ and ‘Singham Again’.
Bollywood is gearing up for a big box office clash as ‘Bhool Bhulaiyaa 3’ and ‘Singham Again’ release this Diwali. Kartik Aaryan’s ‘Bhool Bhulaiyaa 3’ and the Ajay Devgn-starrer will be going head to head. And we cannot wait to see which film emerges on top. Now, ‘Bhool Bhulaiyaa 3’ director Anees Bazmee has addressed the upcoming box office clash. In an interview with Mid-Day, Anees Bazmee opened up on the reports that surfaced a few days back, suggesting producer Bhushan Kumar met Ajay Devgn and director Rohit Shetty to discuss whether the clash can be avoided.
However, Anees Bazmee has said that he is the “last person to get involved” in the box office race, and he would rather keep himself occupied with making a good film.
“Why should I talk to him? It’s a business decision between producers, and I am just the director. Singham Again’s team is insisting on a Diwali release. Clashes are never a good idea. I know that we had announced Bhool Bhulaiyaa 3’s release date a year in advance, but what can we do?” said Anees Bazmee.
“I’ve always maintained that a good film doesn’t need a date to work. I’m the last person to get involved in box-office numbers and release dates. These are decisions and numbers calculated by producers and distributors,” he added.
Speaking of ‘Bhool Bhulaiyaa 3’, the movie also stars Triptii Dimri, Vidya Balan and Madhuri Dixit. As per reports, Madhuri Dixit and Vidya Balan will be having a dance-off in the threequel. Vidya Balan will reprise her role of Manjulika from the first part.
Coming to ‘Singham Again’, the film is the fifth installment of Rohit Shetty's Cop Universe and a sequel to ‘Singham Returns’ (2014).
The film also stars Akshay Kumar, Ranveer Singh, Kareena Kapoor, Deepika Padukone, Tiger Shroff, and Arjun Kapoor.
Jackie Shroff, Shweta Tiwari, Dayanand Shetty, Siddhartha Jadhav and Ashutosh Rana will also feature in the action film.
