Akshay Kumar's 'OMG 2' To Release In Theatres, Sets Up Clash Against 'Gadar 2' And Ranbir Kapoor's 'Animal'
Akshay Kumar on Friday announced the release date of his next project titled 'OMG 2'.
Putting all rumours of an OTT release to rest, actor Akshay Kumar on Friday confirmed that his next project titled 'OMG 2' will be releasing in the theatres. The actor confirmed that the new Hindi movie will be releasing in cinemas on August 11, 2023. In the first 'Oh My God', Akshay Kumar played the role of Lord Krishna, and now in the latest installment, the actor would be playing the role of Lord Shiva.
Akshay Kumar made the announcement on Twitter, and he wrote: "Aa rahe hai hum, aayiega aap bhi. 11th August in theatres. #OMG2."

Akshay Kumar also dropped a fresh poster of 'Oh My God 2', and in it, Akshay Kumar can be seen dressed in the form of Lord Shiva.
The poster also features the release date of 'OMG 2'.
For the unversed, 'OMG 2' stars Akshay Kumar, Yami Gautam and Pankaj Tripathi in lead roles.
Akshay Kumar's 'OMG 2' will now clash with Sunny Deol and Ameesha Patel's 'Gadar 2' and Ranbir Kapoor's 'Animal.
Both 'Gadar 2' and 'Animal' as of now, are slated to release in the theatres on August 11, 2023. Now, it needs to be seen whether any of these movies push their release date ahead.
Earlier, Vivek Agnihotri's 'The Vaccine War' was also slated to release on August 11, but trade analyst Taran Adarsh on Thursday confirmed that the movie would now be releasing on Dussehra 2023.
Akshay Kumar was last seen in 'Selfiee' alongside Emraan Hashmi, and the movie had tanked at the box office.
