As a paparazzo approached to photograph Nitara, Akshay Kumar stepped in with a swift and unexpected reaction. Watch how he handled the moment.
Celebrity families often turn heads at the airport, and this time it was Bollywood star Akshay Kumar, his wife and author Twinkle Khanna, and their daughter Nitara who drew attention as they jetted off for a family vacation on Tuesday. Videos and pictures of the trio quickly surfaced on social media, capturing candid moments of their departure from Mumbai. In one of the clips, Akshay is seen stepping out of his car first, followed closely by Twinkle and Nitara.

As paparazzi gathered around to snap photos, Twinkle gently guided Nitara to the other side, shielding her from the lens. Akshay and Twinkle then briefly posed for the cameras.
However, an awkward moment unfolded when a photographer moved in closer, trying to click a picture of Nitara. Akshay, noticing this, reacted swiftly – grabbing the cameraman gently by the neck and pulling him back. Twinkle, amused, was seen holding back a laugh, while the photographer quickly apologized and Akshay responded with a smile.
Twinkle Khanna then took Nitara’s hand and led her away, while Akshay Kumar continued toward the terminal. Before entering, he graciously responded to another paparazzo’s request for a solo picture and even bid the group goodbye.
For their airport look, Akshay sported a casual black printed T-shirt with grey pants, white sneakers, and a black bag. Twinkle wore a blue blazer with denim jeans, paired with a brown handbag and matching shoes. Nitara looked comfortable in a beige jacket, white T-shirt and jeans.
Akshay and Twinkle, who married in January 2001, are parents to two children – Aarav and Nitara.
Meanwhile, on the work front, Akshay Kumar will next appear in ‘Kannappa’, a film directed by Mukesh Kumar Singh, where he stars alongside Vishnu Manchu. The ensemble cast also includes Prabhas, Mohanlal, Mohan Babu, Kajal Aggarwal, and Preity Mukhundhan.
Akshay will also be seen in ‘Bhooth Bangla’, a horror-comedy helmed by Priyadarshan and co-starring Tabu and Paresh Rawal. Produced by Balaji Telefilms and Akshay’s Cape of Good Films, 'Bhoot Bangla' is set to hit theatres on April 2, 2026. Wamiqa Gabbi is also rumoured to have a key role in the project.
