'Rana Naidu' has been renewed for Season 2 by Netflix.

'Rana Naidu' had first premiered on Netflix in March this year, and the show found its audience on the platform as they appreciated the gripping plot and modern storyline. Actor Rana Daggubati who played the central character in the show, on Wednesday, announced that the show has been renewed for a second season by the streaming giant. The actor posted a recap video of the first season on Instagram, and wrote: "Could not get enough of your love. The Naidus are busy sorting season 2. #RanaNaidu season 2 coming soon."

In the show, Rana Daggubati played a character who somehow manages to clean up the mess of his high-profile clients. He is called the "fixer for the stars".

The Netflix show also starred Venkatesh Daggubati, and he played the father of Rana in the show.

However, 'Rana Naidu' was also criticised by many for the repeated use of expletives.

Produced by Locomotive Global Inc, 'Rana Naidu' is an official adaptation of the American popular drama series ‘Ray Donovan '.

The Indian web series has been created by Karan Anshuman, who is known for Amazon Prime Video shows such as 'Inside Edge' and 'Mirzapur'.

The Indian web series has been directed by Karan and Suparn S Varma.

Earlier, while speaking about the series, Rana Daggubati had said: "It’s lots of special firsts for me. Working with my uncle Venkatesh and the first with Netflix in long form storytelling that’s completely different from what both of us have ever done in our careers. I’m extremely happy to be with a crew and a platform that knows this the best."

“I cannot wait to work with Rana, we are going to have a blast on-set and this show is the perfect project for us to work on. I am a huge fan of Ray Donovan myself and the entire team is pulling in all the stops to ensure we do justice to it,” added Venkatesh Daggubati.
