“Wish Salman Sir…”: Tina Datta Hits Back, Says Farah Khan “Portrayed Her Wrongly”
Tina Datta, who was recently evicted from ‘BB 16’, opened up about her heated interaction with host Farah Khan, calling her “unfair”.

With just about two weeks left for the grand finale of ‘Bigg Boss 16’, one more elimination took place the past weekend. One of Indian TV’s most popular faces, Tina Datta, received the lowest amount of votes and got evicted from the Salman Khan-hosted show during the Weekend Ka Vaar episode. Tina Datta often made headlines for her love-hate relationship with fellow ‘BB 16’ contestant Shalin Bhanot. After her elimination from the controversial reality show, Tina opened up about her journey.
In a recent interview with ETimes post her exit, Tina Datta revealed that she was “in a state of trauma” during her stay inside the ‘Bigg Boss 16’ house.
“No other experience would have taught me as many life lessons I have learnt on the show. I thank everyone who has worked hard to put this incredible show together. Now that I’m out of the house, I feel that I can take on anything,” Tina told ETimes.
Tina Datta further said that she was not “allowed to play the game properly” as she was “being backlashed inside the house on various occasions.”
The ‘Uttaran’ actress was all praises for host Salman Khan and said that he tried his best to help her understand things. Tina Datta added that though he was supportive, he may “not have watched the entire show.”
“The Shalin Bhanot topic really took a toll on me and I was like can I please play my own game? When I became friends with Priyanka recently, I was told by Farah Khan ma'am that we both are the really mean and most hated girls on the show by the viewers. I was in a state of trauma inside the Bigg Boss house," the actress added.
In another interview with Indian Express, Tina Datta further spoke about Farah Khan.
On being asked if Tina Datta feels that Farah Khan was unfair towards her because of her closeness towards the mandali, Tina replied, “That’s a fact, we all know it,” adding that Farah, otherwise, is an “amazing and sweet woman”.
She further said, “I think everyone knew during the episode why she did what she did. Even when I exited, I told everyone that they know I was being portrayed wrongly. Farah ma’am was not trying to understand me or even give me an opportunity to speak. I wish Salman sir was there instead during the episode.”
For the unversed, Farah Khan took over hosting duties for Salman Khan recently and bashed Tina Datta and Priyanka Chahar Choudhary’s behaviour towards Shalin Bhanot, calling it “disgusting”.
She further slammed Tina for her “attitude” before walking off angrily.
With Tina Datta’s eviction, contestants who are left in ‘Bigg Boss 16’ house are Shalin Bhanot, Priyanka Chahr Choudhary, Soumbul Touqeer Khan, MC Stan, Nimrit Kaur Ahluwalia and Shiv Thakare.
