The first trailer for Christopher Nolan's 'Oppenheimer' is out and it surely looks like a spectacle which needs to be witnessed on the biggest screen possible. The movie is based on the nuclear physicist Robert Oppenheimer who went on to head the Manhattan Project, a project that was tasked with the creation of nuclear weapons between 1942 and 1946. The movie is based on the biographical novel 'American Prometheus: The Triumph and Tragedy of J Robert Oppenheimer'.

Robert Oppenheimer was also the director of Los Alamos Laboratory, where the bombs were physically assembled.

In the trailer, one can see Cilian Murphy supervising the making of nuclear weapons. By the end of the trailer, one can see Murphy's hands shaking as he almost presses the button.

'Oppenheimer' has a star-studded cast, including Murphy, Emily Blunt, Matt Damon, Florence Pugh, Rami Malek, Kenneth Branagh, Gary Oldman, Robert Downey Jr, Benny Safdie, Josh Hartnett, and Michael Angarano among others.

Murphy has been a part of many Nolan's projects and he had previously starred in 'Inception', 'Batman Begins', 'The Dark Knight', 'The Dark Knight Rises' and 'Dunkirk'.

However, this is the first time that he would be playing a lead role in Nolan's film.

'Oppenheimer' is the first Nolan film since 2000's 'Memento' to not be released by Warner Bros. As per Variety, their relationship ended after 'Tenet'.

'Oppenheimer' is slated to hit the theatres on July 21,2023.
