Shobana Chandrakumar Pillai was born on March 21, 1970, in Thiruvananthapuram, Kerala. Born into the illustrious Travancore royal family, she is the niece of the legendary "Travancore Sisters" (Lalitha, Padmini, and Ragini), who were the pioneers of classical dance in Indian cinema.
