A couple decided to exchange garlands and rings, as Vijay's 'Leo' was being screened at a theatre in Chennai.

Actor Vijay has returned to the big screen, and fans are loving his latest release 'Leo'. The Lokesh Kanagaraj-directorial is being loved by the fans of Vijay, and the audience are also enjoying how the movie has blended into the Lokesh Cinematic Universe. The release of 'Leo' is being celebrated like a festival across India, especially in Tamil Nadu. In the latest entertainment news, a video is going viral on X (formerly Twitter) in which a fan named Venkatesh can be seen getting engaged to a girl named Manjula. 

What makes the things interesting is that the duo gets engaged inside a theatre. The couple dressed in their wedding attires, can be seen exchanging garlands and rings. 

People then started celebrating the event. This all happened while 'Leo' was being screened at a theatre.

"I have neither mother nor father. Vijay is everything to me. That's why I got engaged in his presence," said Venkatesh, as reported by Hindustan Times.

“I have been waiting for this for 8 months. Tomorrow our marriage is going to take place in Perumal temple," he added.

As 'Leo' released in theatres, many fans thronged the cinema halls with full band baaja. 

The new Tamil movie directed by Lokesh Kanagaraj, released in theatres on Thursday, amid high expectations and many controversies. For the unversed, the movie has been in the news for all the wrong reasons. 

Firstly, many political outfits criticised Vijay for glorifying smoking, and later the director was also pulled up for romanticising violence. 

'Leo's cast also includes Gautham Menon, Sanjay Dutt, Arjun, Trisha, Priya Anand, and Mansoor Ali Khan. Anirudh Ravichander of 'Jawan', and 'Jailer' fame, has composed the music for the film.

Arjun and Sanjay Dutt are playing the role of main antagonists in 'Leo'. It is not known whether 'Leo' is based on David Cronenberg’s 'A History of Violence' which had released in 2005.
