National Film Awards 2023: Allu Arjun won the Best Actor accolade for his role in 'Pushpa: The Rise'.
Actor Allu Arjun on Thursday bagged the National Film Award for Best Actor for his performance in the film 'Pushpa: The Rise'. With this, the actor became the first Telugu star to win the National Award for Best Actor. In the latest entertainment news, a video was posted by Team Allu Arjun Army, in which the actor was seen celebrating the win with his family members and 'Pushpa' director Sukumar.
In the video which is going insanely viral, Allu Arjun shed tears of joy after he was announced as the winner. The room is filled with cheer and his family members were also seen rejoicing with thunderous claps.
Allu Arjun's father Allu Aravind, who is a well known producer, was seen hugging his son and getting emotional.
The actor's wife Sneha also celebrated the big win.

Composer Devi Sri Prasad, also won the National Film Award for Best Music Director (Songs) for the 'Pushpa: The Rise' album.
For the unversed, 'Pushpa: The Rise' became a pan-India sensation when it released in theatres in December 2021.
The film's sequel 'Pushpa: The Rule' is currently in production and is expected to release in theatres in 2024.
Talking about National Film Awards 2023, Alia Bhatt and Kriti Sanon were named the joint winners of best actress accolade for their performances in 'Gangubai Kathiawadi' and 'Mimi' respectively.
Actors Pankaj Tripathi and Pallavi Joshi bagged the best supporting actor awards for 'Mimi', and 'The Kashmir Files' respectively.
'The Kashmir Files' also won the Nargis Dutt Award for Best Film on National Integration. 'Sardar Udham' starring Vicky Kaushal won several awards such as Best Hindi Film, Best Cinematography, Best Audiography, Best Production Design, and Best Costume Design.
