The Vasan Bala directorial is slated to release in cinemas on October 11, 2024, and in the latest entertainment news, the makers on Thursday morning unveiled the theatrical trailer for 'Jigra'. Going by the clip, viewers can get ready for an intense affair at the movies. Get ready to see Alia Bhatt like never before, in a full-blown action avatar. The new Hindi movie trailer opens with Alia Bhatt receiving a phone call, informing her that her brother, played by Vedang Raina, has been arrested on a foreign land. It is then that we see Alia, going to every length possible to get her brother out of jail.
We see Alia Bhatt performing action scenes for the first time in a Bollywood film. The movie promises to be an intense watch, and we cannot wait to see the Bollywood actress giving a performance for the ages.
Vedang Raina also manages to capture the imagination of viewers through his understated performance as Alia Bhatt's younger brother.

‘Jigra’ marks the first collaboration between Alia Bhatt and Vedang Raina, who made his acting debut with Zoya Akhtar’s ‘The Archies’, which premiered on Netflix last year. The movie also stars Manoj Pahwa, who was last seen in Anubhav Sinha's Hindi web series 'IC 814: The Kandahar Hijack'.
The upcoming Hindi movie is directed by Vasan Bala, who has earlier helmed projects like 'Mard Ko Dard Nahi Hota', and 'Monica, O My Darling'. Both these movies received critical acclaim.
Last year, the makers shared the film’s announcement video online. The announcement video started with a quote by GK Chesterton, which read, "The paradox of courage is that one must be a little careless of life to keep it."
'Jigra' is being produced by Alia Bhatt, Karan Johar, Apoorva Mehta, Alia Bhatt, and Somen Mishra. The upcoming Hindi film will clash with Rajkummar Rao and Triptii Dimri-starrer 'Vicky Vidya Ka Woh Wala Video' at the box office.
Apart from ‘Jigra’, Alia Bhatt will also feature in Sanjay Leela Bhansali’s ‘Love and War’. The film will also star Ranbir Kapoor and Vicky Kaushal. She also has Farhan Akhtar’s ‘Jee Le Zaraa’ in the pipeline. The upcoming movie will also star Priyanka Chopra Jonas and Katrina Kaif.
