Bollywood actress Mouni Roy has given fans a glimpse of her birthday celebrations, and the photo dump has a fairytale feel to it. The Indian actress took to Instagram to share a carousel of pictures from her getaway with her closest friends, with a caption to match. "A little whimsical, a little lost, and happily curious... just like Alice, somewhere between here and Wonderland," she wrote, before giving a shout-out to the friends who stood by her.

“This birthday felt cathartic but also this year I know who s mine & I'm so grateful,” she added, signing off with “ONLY LOVE & GRACE & STRENGTH. OM NAMAH SHIVAAY.”

The opening frames leaned fully into the Alice theme. Mouni sat among the twisted roots of a giant banyan tree in a polka-dot halter maxi dress, lost in a book. In the next shot, she was barefoot on the grass in the same dress, one hand running through her hair and the book resting on her lap.

The mood then turned playful. Mouni flashed peace signs with two friends under the banyan tree, all three in oversized sunglasses. She then switched to a white lace look: a tie-up halter bandeau with a cut-out mini skirt and a flowing sash. She wore it while hugging a friend on a weathered bench, posing on red stone steps beneath a bamboo-roofed walkway, and twinning in white with another friend in a crochet co-ord. In one candid frame, she hid her face with both hands, sitting on a low wall beside a beige quilted bag.
Poolside, Mouni was seen in an orange-and-white printed halter bikini, dipping her feet in the water alongside four friends. Another frame was an in-pool selfie with a friend in a blue swimsuit, and a black-and-white night shot showed her hugging two pals in the pool, all with their hair tied up in buns.
The sunsets got their own moment too. One picture captured Mouni from behind, looking out at the sun dipping into the sea on a beach. In another, she lay silhouetted beside an infinity pool as the sun set over the greenery.
For the night out, Mouni Roy chose a sheer black maxi with a lace bustier and an embellished panel, finished with statement silver hoops. There was also a red-lit selfie from a night out, a cosy bed picture with two friends, and a shot of her striking a pose on moss-lined stone stairs surrounded by palm trees. One frame also showed her and a friend in matching black tees with Louis Vuitton lettering.
The post came a few months after Mouni Roy and Suraj Nambiar announced their separation in May. With this birthday, though, the Bollywood actress made it clear she is choosing love, gratitude and the people who matter.
