Barbiecore trend, which kick-started in July 2023 with Greta Gerwig’s ‘Barbie’ starring Margot Robbie and Ryan Gosling, took the world by storm. Not just the public, several Bollywood celebrities, including Bhumi Pednekar, Malaika Arora, Ananya Panday and Nora Fatehi, also joined the trend by sporting stunning pink outfits and hairstyles. And now an eternal diva has jumped on the bandwagon. She’s a little late to the party but has totally nailed the Barbiecore trend. We are talking about none other than Shilpa Shetty. And she gave the trend the sultriest ethnic spin with her pink chiffon saree.
Shilpa Shetty Kundra added the Barbie magic and chiffon craze to the six yards of grace by wearing a hot pink-coloured saree and a matching bustier blouse to promote her new Hindi film ‘Sukhee’. She later posted several stunning photos of herself in the hot pink saree.

Shilpa Shetty Kundra draped the pink chiffon saree in traditional style, with the pleats on the front and the pallu falling from her shoulder in a floor-sweeping train.
She wore the pink chiffon saree with a matching bustier blouse, which elevated the ethnic outfit and gave it a modern touch with its sleeveless design, sequin embellishments, plunging neckline, cropped hem, and fitted bust.
Shilpa Shetty accessorised the pink saree with matching gloves, rings, bracelets, a pink statement necklace with a floral pendant and pink pumps.
For her makeup, she went with well-defined and darkened eyebrows, shimmering pink eye shadow, eyeliner, kohl-lined eyes, mascara-coated lashes, blushed cheeks, beaming highlighter and a pink lip shade.
The Bollywood actress left her hair open in centre-parted wavy locks as she posed confidently for the cameras.
Shilpa Shetty Kundra extensively promoted her latest release ‘Sukhee’, serving back-to-back stylish looks during the promotions.
‘Sukhee’, which also stars Kusha Kapila, released in cinemas on September 22. It follows the story of a disgruntled homemaker who rebelliously attends her school reunion.
It has been directed by debutant Sonal Joshi and produced by Bhushan Kumar, Krishan Kumar, Vikram Malhotra, and Shikhaa Sharma.
