Shanaya Kapoor Starts The Week On Mesmerising Note In Anita Dongre Lehenga. See Pics
Shanaya Kapoor made a stunning ethnic fashion statement in a green and yellow-toned lehenga with hand painted motifs.
Bollywood actress Shanaya Kapoor’s fashion sense sits at the intersection of youthful freshness and quiet refinement. Rather than chasing loud trends, she gravitates towards silhouettes that feel timeless, romantic and rooted in Indian craft, often choosing pieces that highlight texture, colour and artisanal detail. Her style feels intentionally soft – favouring fluid drapes, delicate embroidery and warm, nature-inspired palettes over sharp drama. Whether she is wearing contemporary couture or heritage-led ensembles, Shanaya’s choices consistently reflect an appreciation for craftsmanship, femininity and a certain old-world grace reinterpreted through a modern lens.
For this look, Shanaya Kapoor wore an Anita Dongre lehenga from the brand’s Vaana Spring Summer 2025 collection, crafted in a distinctive meadow greenish-yellow hue that sat between soft olive, chartreuse and sunlit moss. Taking to Instagram, the Bollywood actress shared mesmerising photos of herself in the lehenga.

The lehenga was built on a silk base, giving the fabric a gentle sheen and a fluid, diaphanous quality as it moved. The skirt was adorned with hand-painted Pichhwai artwork, featuring blooming florals, leafy foliage, birds and wildlife motifs that unfolded across the surface like a living landscape. Each motif was meticulously painted by skilled artisans and delicately enhanced with subtle sequins, adding dimension and a soft shimmer without overpowering the artwork.
The blouse was strappy and sculpted, mirroring the same nature-inspired Pichhwai motifs and surface techniques as the skirt, ensuring the ensemble read as a cohesive canvas rather than separate elements. The neckline was clean and modern, allowing the craftsmanship to take centre stage. Completing the look was a sheer organza dupatta, lightly embellished and draped fluidly across her shoulders. Its translucent softness offered a gentle counterpoint to the richly detailed lehenga, adding lightness and movement to the overall silhouette.
Her accessories were equally thoughtful. Shanaya Kapoor styled the look with temple jewellery from Indinoor, including a gold necklace adorned with bird motifs that echoed the avian elements painted onto the lehenga. This was paired with statement jhumkas and delicate kaan chains attached to her hair, reinforcing the traditional, devotional undertone of the Pichhwai craft. A bold floral ring added a finishing accent to her hands.
Shanaya’s hair was styled in a low, loose braid, softly parted in the centre, keeping the focus on her face and jewellery while maintaining an effortless, romantic mood. The makeup was dewy and warm, with copper-toned eyeshadow, softly flushed cheeks and glossy nude lips that gave her a sun-kissed glow.
Meanwhile, on the work front, Shanaya Kapoor made her acting debut with ‘Aankhon Ki Gustaakhiyan’, co-starring Vikrant Massey. Directed by Santosh Singh, the movie was based on Ruskin Bond's ‘The Eyes Have It’. It released in cinemas on July 11, 2025.
Up next, Shanaya will be seen in ‘Tu Yaa Main’. Co-starring Adarsh Gourav, the survival thriller will revolve around social media influencers trying to escape a man-eating crocodile. The teaser of the upcoming film was dropped recently.
‘Tu Yaa Main’ is directed by Bejoy Nambiar and produced by Aanand L Rai. It will release on the occasion of Valentine’s Day 2026.
