Malavika Mohanan served fierce black-and-gold glamour in a sculpted lacquer bodice paired with a fluid draped silk satin skirt.
Indian actress Malavika Mohanan has always had a way of making fashion feel powerful, polished and deeply cinematic. Her style is rarely predictable, moving seamlessly between earthy Indian elegance, sultry evening glamour and sharply sculpted contemporary silhouettes. What makes her wardrobe especially striking is the confidence with which she carries statement pieces, whether it is a saree, a gown or an experimental designer look. She often lets strong shapes, rich textures and bold beauty choices do the talking, and her recent black-and-gold outing was another reminder of her fearless fashion personality.
For this look, Malavika Mohanan wore a full MISHO ensemble, featuring the label’s Contoured Bodice and Draped Satin Skirt. Taking to Instagram, Malavika shared jaw-dropping photos of herself in the black outfit.

The outfit brought together two very different textures in one dramatic black look. The upper half featured a glossy black lacquer-style strapless bodice with a sculpted, body-hugging structure. Its clean sweetheart-inspired curved neckline and rigid corset-like fit gave the look a bold, armour-like finish. The bodice sat snugly over her torso, creating a sharp contrast against the fluidity of the skirt.
She paired it with a black draped satin full-length skirt, crafted in 100 percent silk as per the brand details. The skirt featured a gathered knot-like detail at the front, from where soft pleats fell vertically, creating movement and drama. The glossy satin fabric caught the light beautifully, giving the bottom half a liquid-like finish. According to the brand, the skirt also comes with a concealed zip fastening and hook-and-button closure at the back. The overall silhouette was sleek, sculptural and powerful, making the black-on-black outfit look anything but basic.
Malavika Mohanan elevated the ensemble with bold gold jewellery from MISHO Designs. She wore Double Pillow Onyx Earrings, a Crescent XL Cuff, Shoku Onyx Cuff, Astra Ring and Pillow Ring. The oversized sculptural earrings, chunky cuffs and statement rings added a molten-gold contrast to the all-black outfit, giving the look its fierce black-and-gold personality.
Her beauty styling matched the intensity of the outfit. Malavika Mohanan wore her hair slicked back in a wet-look texture, letting the dramatic earrings and sharp bodice take centre stage. For makeup, she opted for smoky eyes, defined brows, bronzed cheeks, luminous skin and a muted mauve-neutral lip.
Meanwhile, on the work front, Malavika Mohanan was last seen alongside Prabhas, Nidhhi Agerwal and Sanjay Dutt in ‘The Raja Saab’. Prior to this, she featured opposite Siddhanth Chaturvedi in ‘Yudhra’, marking her second Hindi film after the Majid Majidi film ‘Beyond The Clouds’.
Before ‘Yudhra’, Malavika Mohanan was seen in the 2024 movie ‘Thangalaan’, directed by Pa Ranjith.
