Bollywood actress Khushi Kapoor, who is celebrating her birthday today, has steadily carved out a fashion identity that balances youthful experimentation with an appreciation for timeless Indian craftsmanship. Whether she is embracing contemporary silhouettes or stepping out in traditional ensembles, the actress knows how to make a statement without losing her personal touch. Her ethnic wardrobe, in particular, frequently brings together rich colours, intricate embellishments and unexpected styling choices. The richly embroidered creation featured intricate multicoloured floral vines, shimmering gold accents and ornate borders. The pallu fell elegantly over one shoulder, revealing dense patterns that continued across the pleats.
She paired it with a sleeveless, high-neck cropped blouse in a matching deep red shade. The relatively simple front provided a beautiful contrast to the heavily worked drape, although a delicate row of gold-toned dangling embellishments along the hem added extra sparkle. The real surprise lay at the back. Its daring open-back design was framed by decorative jewelled strands cascading down the centre, with a slender fastening across the lower back. This unexpected detail brought a contemporary, glamorous twist to the traditional ensemble.
Khushi Kapoor chose statement jewellery from Manish Malhotra Jewellery to complement the outfit. A striking choker took centre stage, featuring a large green Zambian emerald surrounded by sparkling uncut diamonds arranged in a delicate floral design. According to the designer, the central emerald weighed 25 carats. She added shimmering stud earrings, a green-stone statement ring and a stack of glossy deep red bangles, keeping the overall palette beautifully coordinated.
Her hairstyle was equally thoughtful. She wore her dark hair slicked back into a long, neatly plaited braid, embellished with a traditional gold-toned paranda woven through its length. The styling ensured that the blouse’s elaborate back detailing remained visible.
For makeup, Khushi Kapoor opted for luminous skin, softly sculpted cheeks and a warm flush of blush. Bronzed, smoky eyelids, defined black eyeliner and kohl accentuated her eyes, while neatly shaped brows and fluttery lashes added intensity. Glossy neutral lips provided the finishing touch, allowing her vibrant ensemble and exquisite jewellery to command attention.
Meanwhile, on the work front, Khushi Kapoor last starred opposite Ibrahim Ali Khan in ‘Nadaaniyan’, a modern rom-com produced by Karan Johar’s Dharmatic Entertainment and directed by Shauna Gautam. The movie premiered on Netflix on March 7, 2025.
Prior to this, she was seen alongside Junaid Khan in ‘Loveyapa’. A remake of the 2022 Tamil film ‘Love Today’, it also starred Kiku Sharda, Grusha Kapoor, and Ashutosh Rana.
