Actress Keerthy Suresh has long had a soft spot for fashion that celebrates Indian craftsmanship, and some of her most memorable appearances come when she leans into her South Indian roots. Sarees, rich silks, temple jewellery and heritage weaves regularly find their way into her wardrobe, but she is equally comfortable giving tradition a contemporary update. Her style tends to favour elegance over excess, with thoughtful details doing most of the talking. This philosophy comes through beautifully in her latest look, where Tamil textile heritage meets Kerala jewellery traditions in one striking ensemble.

For the look, Keerthy Suresh wore a custom Torani ensemble crafted from a wine-hued Kanjeevaram silk saree woven by Madhurya Creations. Taking to Instagram, the Indian actress shared mesmerising photos of herself in the ethnic look.

Keerthy Suresh herself described it as a fusion of “Kanchipuram Silk x Kaashu Maala,” while stylist Ami Patel confirmed that the wine Kanjeevaram saree was reimagined by Karan Torani into the new silhouette. The voluminous floor-length skirt came in a deep wine-maroon tone, scattered with small gold motifs and finished with a dramatic, broad metallic-gold zari border. A fine green trim added an unexpected contrast along the hem.

Up top, a fitted cropped blouse featured a softly squared neckline, lustrous gold-brown woven detailing and long wine sleeves. The most distinctive element, however, was the matching silk drape wrapped around her shoulders and crossed at the waist almost like a short jacket. Tiny gold motifs covered the fabric, while ornate gold borders framed its edges, creating a silhouette that felt part shawl, part structured overlay.
The jewellery told an equally considered story. According to M.O.D Signature, Keerthy’s layered neckpiece combined three expressions of Kerala gold jewellery – the Poothali, M.O.D Signature Coin Mala and Kasav Mala, finished with a dark Palaka pendant. The substantial gold neck stack was accompanied by traditional dangling earrings, rings and gold-toned wrist jewellery. She also carried a small textured gold clutch. Her pointed black pumps, credited to René Caovilla, provided a contemporary finishing touch.
Keerthy Suresh wore her dark hair swept completely away from her face in a polished, sculpted bun. Her makeup complemented the richness of the silk with luminous skin, softly warmed cheeks and strongly defined smoky eyes. Black kohl and liner intensified both lash lines, while groomed brows added structure. A muted mauve-brown lip kept the palette sophisticated.
Meanwhile, on the work front, Keerthy Suresh can be currently seen in a special appearance in Nani’s new movie ‘The Paradise’, which released in cinemas today. She will next feature in ‘Dorothy’, due for release on Friday (September 25).
