Janhvi Kapoor Balances Sensual Styling With Intricate Indian Artistry. See Pics, Video
Janhvi Kapoor made a stunning ethnic fashion statement in a resham saree by Abu Jani Sandeep Khosla.
Janhvi Kapoor has steadily evolved into one of Bollywood’s most compelling style voices — someone who slips between contemporary silhouettes and deeply rooted Indian craftsmanship with equal ease. Whether she’s embracing sensual modern dressing or leaning into heritage ensembles, her fashion choices always feel intentional and well-researched. Janhvi has a knack for making traditional textiles feel current, often relying on strong styling rather than excess embellishment. Her looks resonate because they balance restraint with impact, and this particular appearance is a masterclass in how archival Indian textiles can be styled for a modern global moment.
For this look, Janhvi Kapoor can be seen wearing a resham saree by Abu Jani Sandeep Khosla, inspired by the rich colours and motifs of traditional jamavar textiles from Kashmir. Taking to Instagram, stylist and filmmaker Rhea Kapoor shared stunning photos of Janhvi in the saree.

Celebrity makeup artist Savleen Kaur Manchanda also took to Instagram and shared a gorgeous video of Janhvi in the ethnic look.

The saree featured a soft ivory base densely embroidered with intricate multicoloured floral and paisley patterns rendered in resham threads, creating a tapestry-like effect that felt heritage-driven yet refined.
Draped sensually low on the waist, the saree allowed the craftsmanship to take centre stage without overpowering the silhouette.
She paired the sari with a matching V-neck blouse, also heavily embroidered in jamavar-inspired motifs, featuring full-length fitted sleeves and a structured, body-skimming cut.
Adding striking layers to the ensemble was an antique jamavar shawl, finished with handcrafted silk resham tassels that introduced movement and texture. Completing the layered narrative was a vintage men’s jamavar jacket from the 1980s, upcycled and re-embroidered by Abu Jani Sandeep Khosla, reinforcing the look’s archival depth and sustainable ethos.
Accessories were rooted firmly in tradition. Janhvi Kapoor wore long, shoulder-grazing silver earrings inspired by the Kashmiri dejhoor, reimagined as a contemporary homage to the region’s bridal ornamentation. She added a handcrafted silver bangle and a custom ‘chabi ka gucha’, tying in ritualistic accents. Her block heels, also designed by Abu Jani Sandeep Khosla, subtly echoed jamavar motifs seen in the saree.
Makeup look was kept understated and elegant with soft, dewy skin, delicately contoured cheeks, defined eyes, and muted pink lips, allowing the ensemble to shine.
Her hair was styled into a sleek low bun with a clean middle parting, finished with a small black bindi that added the perfect traditional finishing touch — making the entire look a seamless blend of heritage, sensuality, and modern styling.
