Recently, Ankita Lokhande was in the news after sharing some shocking details of a casting couch experience.
Speaking about the experience, the ‘Pavitra Rishta’ actress said that she was told “to compromise” when she auditioned for a South film.
"Maine South film audition diya tha. Mujhe call aaya ki aap sign karne aa jao. Mai bahut khush thi, toh maine apni maa ko bola mai sign karke aati hu. Mujhe bhi doubt tha ki itni aasani se kaise hua (I had auditioned for a South film. I got a call asking me to come and sign the film. I was very happy, and told my mother that I will sign the film and return. But I doubted how I got the movie so easily)," Ankita Lokhande had told Hautterfly.
"Jab mai sign karne gayi toh sirf mujhe andar bulaya aur meri co-ordinator ko rukne ko kaha. Mujhe bola gaya, 'you have to compromise.' I was just 19 at the time. Tabhi mera heroine banna hai walla phase chal raha tha. I played smart and asked again, toh mujhe kaha gaya, 'Apko producer ke sath sona padega (When I went to sign the film, I was called inside but my co-ordinator was asked to stay outside. I was told to comprise. I was only 19 and I was just starting my journey to become a heroine. I was told you will have to sleep with the producer)," she added.
