Ajay Devgn and Tabu-starrer ‘Auron Mein Kahan Dum Tha’ has failed to set the cash registers ringing during its opening weekend. The new Hindi movie, directed by Neeraj Pandey, just showed a 16 per cent increase in its collection on Sunday, the third day of its release. As per early estimates by industry tracker Sacnilk, ‘Auron Mein Kahan Dum Tha’ minted Rs 2.75 crore on the third day of its release. The nett domestic collection of the film now stands at Rs 6.75 crore.

It is important to mention that ‘Auron Mein Kahan Dum Tha’ has had the lowest opening weekend compared to the previous movies of Ajay Devgn and Tabu.

Their previous collaborations – ‘Drishyam’ (2015), ‘Golmaal Again’ (2017), ‘De De Pyaar De’ (2019), ‘Drishyam 2’ (2022), and ‘Bholaa’ (2023) – had all emerged as average grossers or hits at the box office.

‘Auron Mein Kahan Dum Tha’ is even lagging behind Ajay Devgn's previous release – ‘Maidaan’, which tanked at the box office.

‘Maidaan’, directed by Amit Sharma, minted Rs 14.50 crore on its opening weekend, much higher than the opening weekend of ‘Auron Mein Kahan Dum Tha’.

‘Auron Mein Kahan Dum Tha’ was released in cinemas on the same day as Janhvi Kapoor’s ‘Ulajh’.

Janhvi Kapoor and Gulshan Devaiah-starrer ‘Ulajh’ has made just Rs 4.90 crore in the first three days of its release.

Meanwhile, there is no stopping ‘Deadpool & Wolverine’ at the box office. The new Hollywood film, starring Ryan Reynolds and Hugh Jackman, is doing phenomenal business in India as well.

‘Deadpool & Wolverine’ on Sunday minted Rs 8 crore in India, as per early estimates posted by industry tracker Sacnilk. The total nett collection of the film in India now stands at Rs 109.10 crore.

Lastly, Nag Ashwin's 'Kalki 2898 AD', starring Prabhas, Deepika Padukone, Amitabh Bachchan, Kamal Haasan and Disha Patani, minted Rs 1.85 crore on Sunday, the 39th day of its release.

The total nett domestic collection of the film now stands at Rs 639.70 crore. The movie now needs just Rs 30 lakh to go past the lifetime collection of Shah Rukh Khan's 'Jawan'.
