"Was Tired Of Politics": Priyanka Chopra's Big Bombshell On Why She Left Bollywood
Priyanka Chopra Jonas has made a bombshell revelation on why she moved away from Bollywood.
Priyanka Chopra Jonas has made quite a career in the West as she has starred in shows and movies like 'Quantico' and 'Baywatch' and she is currently gearing up for the release of 'Citadel' on Amazon Prime Video. Ahead of the marquee release, the actress dropped a big bombshell, revealing why she chose to move away from Bollywood and make a career in the USA.
Speaking to Dax Shepherd on his podcast Armchair Expert, the 'Don' actress said that she was tired of politics in Bollywood, and she had a beef with some people within the industry.
“I was being pushed into a corner in the industry (Bollywood). I had people not casting me, I had beef with people, I am not good at playing that game so I kind of was tired of the politics and I said I needed a break," said Priyanka Chopra.
Before starring in shows and movies in the West, Priyanka Chopra Jonas tried to make it as an international music artist in the West with songs like 'In My City' and 'Exotic'.
“This music thing gave me an opportunity to go into another part of the world, not crave for the movies I didn’t want to get but I would require to schmooze certain clubs and cliques of people. It would require groveling and I had worked a long time by then that I didn’t feel like I wanted to do it," Priyanka Chopra Jonas stated further.
Priyanka Chopra Jonas' next project 'Citadel' also stars Richard Madden in the lead role. The show will start airing on Amazon Prime Video from April 28.
Apart from 'Citadel', the actress will also be seen in Hollywood project 'Love Again'.
The actress is also expected to return to Bollywood with 'Jee Le Zara'. The new Hindi Bollywood movie will be directed by Farhan Akhtar and it also stars Alia Bhatt and Katrina Kaif.
