'Pathaan' starring Shah Rukh Khan, John Abraham and Deepika Padukone will release in theatres on January 25 and fans cannot wait. The advance booking has already started in some theatres, and one week prior to the release, people are finding it difficult to book their tickets as there are many who want to catch the movie on the first day of its release.
Director Siddharth Anand has now revealed that the lead stars of the movie would not be promoting 'Pathaan' before it releases in theatres.
“Pathaan marks Shah Rukh Khan’s return to the movies after 4 long years. He has had very limited exposure with people in these four years and the hunger to see him is at an all time high. It’s palpable and that’s what has contributed in a big way to the buzz that people are saying Pathaan has today," Anand said.
The director also said that the makers of 'Pathaan' want the euphoria around SRK's return to the big screen to reach a crescendo by the time January 25 arrives.
“SRK. Just these 3 letters spell so much stardom, so much love and are just so iconic. The entire nation has loved him for so long and we are hopeful that our film will deliver on the promise to give a never seen before SRK to audiences. We want the euphoria around his return to reach a crescendo by Jan 25, the release date of Pathaan. Thus, we will start all our promotional activities only post the release of the film. We are all humbled to be receiving the unanimous love that we are getting for Pathaan so far and we can’t thank people enough," said Anand.
Trade analyst Taran Adarsh on Wednesday confirmed that the advance booking for 'Pathaan' has started in some centres and the response is "terrific".
"As you read this, #YRF commences advance bookings of #Pathaan at #IMAX [6 locations] and #4DX [1 location] in #Mumbai and #IMAX [4 locations] in #Delhi… And the response is T-E-R-R-I-F-I-C," Adarsh tweeted.

'Pathaan' marks Shah Rukh Khan’s return to the big screen after four long years. He was last seen in a full-length feature film in 2018 in a movie titled 'Zero' opposite Katrina Kaif and Anushka Sharma.
YRF’s adrenaline pumping film, 'Pathaan', is set to release in Hindi, Tamil and Telugu. All the assets of the film that YRF has released so far have turned out to be superhits right from the teaser, the two songs - 'Besharam Rang' and 'Jhoome Jo Pathaan' - and the recently dropped trailer that caused an internet meltdown.
