Earlier, Janhvi Kapoor had announced the wrap for 'Ulajh', and captioning the post on Instagram, she had written, "Each film has been a lesson, and its story deeply and coincidently intertwined with things happening in my life. And through Suhana's journey, and the journey of making this film- my biggest learning has been to allow yourself to love what you do, to identify if you’re doing it for the right reasons, to let go of baggage and external pressures and opinions.”

Earlier, while speaking about the film, Janhvi Kapoor in a statement had said, "When I was approached with the script of ‘Ulajh’, it instantly attracted me because as an actor, I am constantly looking for scripts that make me break out of my comfort zone and portraying a character based in the celebrated world of the Indian Foreign Services was just that."

"Just as the name of the film suggests, my character and the story, has so many layers, emotions, and parameters, which is challenging and exciting at the same time," she added.
