‘Bigg Boss OTT’: Salman Khan Set To Host Second Season, Shoots For First Promo
The first season of ‘Bigg Boss OTT’ was hosted by Karan Johar. However, the filmmaker has been replaced by Salman Khan for the second season of the show.

After ‘Bigg Boss 16’ wrapped up in February 2023, fans have been missing the daily dose of drama that came from the controversial reality show. If you are one of those eagerly waiting for the new season of ‘Bigg Boss’, then we have a piece of good news for you. Bollywood megastar Salman Khan is all set to return with a fresh new season of ‘Bigg Boss OTT’. For the unversed, Karan Johar hosted the first season of ‘Bigg Boss OTT’.
Divya Agarwal emerged as the winner of the first season of ‘Bigg Boss OTT’. As per several reports, Salman Khan has replaced Karan Johar as the host of ‘Bigg Boss OTT 2’. Reportedly, Salman Khan also shot for the promo of ‘Bigg Boss OTT 2’ with rapper Raftaar on Saturday.
A source close to ‘Bigg Boss OTT 2’ shared with The Indian Express that Salman Khan confirmed his presence on the show a few days ago.
The source also shared that a few contestants are almost finalised and conversations with others are at different stages currently. The makers are also set to make an official announcement with Salman Khan via a promo soon. The Bollywood megastar is shooting with Raftaar and the promo video will drop in a couple of days.
‘Bigg Boss OTT 2’ is expected to stream on Jio Cinemas and Voot Select. As for contestants, names like Jiya Shanker, Munawar Faruqui, Shivam Sharma, Umar Riaz, and Awez Darbar have come up.
‘Bigg Boss OTT 2’, just like its previous season, will be shorter in duration as compared to the television version of ‘Bigg Boss’. With a runtime of nearly six weeks, the reality show will have close to 10 celebrities being locked inside the house.
Last season, three finalists from ‘Bigg Boss OTT’ Shamita Shetty, Pratik Sehajpal and Nishant Bhat were given a chance to be in the main show, ‘Bigg Boss 15’.
As per reports, ‘Bigg Boss OTT 2’ will launch by the second week of June and will wrap up in July end. As for ‘Bigg Boss 17’, the show is expected to kick start in September.
Coming back to Salman Khan, he was last seen in the Eid release ‘Kisi Ka Bhai Kisi Ki Jaan’. The Bollywood superstar will be next seen in ‘Tiger 3’ with Katrina Kaif and Emraan Hashmi.
It is scheduled to be released on Diwali 2023. The espionage action entertainer is directed by Maneesh Sharma.
