Check out the ‘Rama’ video glimpse here:
The visual journey begins with chaotic, war-torn environments. Viewers are plunged into massive, smoky battleground sequences featuring a giant bird locked in fiery aerial combat and a hulking, monstrous figure trudging heavily through a harsh, snowy landscape.
Amidst this cinematic chaos, powerful text overlays appear on the screen: "Whenever the world descends into chaos, He is always the answer." This transitions seamlessly into a striking silhouette of a warrior holding a massive bow against a dramatic, golden sunset. As the text declares that the figure has been "Ruling our hearts for over 5000 years" and stands as "Our Protector," the video offers brief flashes of a revered king walking through a dense crowd showered in flower petals, followed by an agile warrior leaping through bare trees to attack a massive beast.
The teaser then proudly announces its production pedigree, highlighting the involvement of "8 Time Oscar Winning DNEG" alongside Director Nitesh Tiwari. This leads directly into the central moment of the release: the very first clear, detailed look at Ranbir Kapoor as Lord Rama. Ranbir Kapoor is seen striding powerfully down a towering, intricately carved palace corridor. Adorned in a heavily detailed golden crown, elaborate traditional jewellery, and a rich maroon drape over his shoulder, Ranbir embodies a serene yet commanding presence.
The video continues to build momentum, celebrating the character as "The Legend" and "The Greatest of All Time." We are treated to visually stunning moments of Lord Rama drawing a giant golden bow, meditating peacefully by a cascading waterfall, and respectfully kneeling before an elder in a majestic, fire-lit circular court. As the words “Maryada Purushottam” and “RAMA” flash across the screen, a fast-paced action montage ensues.
Highlights from the quick-cut sequence include Rama navigating a heavy dust storm, running swiftly through dense jungle ruins, marching into battle with a golden axe, and aiming his bow in the forest. It also features a powerful, silhouetted shot of a woman raising a blade against a backdrop of leaping flames. A quieter, tense moment follows, showing a concerned-looking Rama in a boat at night alongside figures who appear to be Sita and Lakshman.
Concluding with the title card, “Namit Malhotra's Ramayana: Our Truth. Our History,” the teaser offers one last massive visual: the imposing back of a heavily adorned, dark figure looking out toward a breathtaking, glowing lotus-shaped flying palace hovering high above the clouds.
The final slate reveals that this mythological epic is “Filmed for IMAX” and will be a massive two-part cinematic event. ‘Ramayana Part 1’ is slated for a Diwali 2026 release, with Part II following in Diwali 2027.
Furthermore, the official credits on the final poster confirm the star-studded primary cast: Ranbir Kapoor as Rama, Ravi Dubey as Lakshman, Yash as Ravana, Sunny Deol as Hanuman and Sai Pallavi as Sita, cementing this as one of the most ambitious projects in modern entertainment history. Earlier, the introduction video was unveiled from the film.
