'Yeh Jawaani Hai Deewani' to re-release in theatres next year.

‘Yeh Jawaani Hai Deewani’, directed by Ayan Mukerji, became a huge sensation especially among the youth, when it was released in 2013. The Bollywood film, starring Ranbir KapoorDeepika Padukone, Aditya Roy Kapur, and Kalki Koechlin, beautifully showcased themes of friendship, love and life. Ranbir and Deepika's magical chemistry was also appreciated by fans. From the storyline to the performances and the songs, it was a perfect mix of entertainment. Following the trend of re-releases this year, the rom-com is set to hit the theatres once again.

‘Yeh Jawaani Hai Deewani’ will re-release in cinemas next year. PVR INOX is bringing the Ayan Mukerji directorial back to the theatres on January 3, 2025, across 140 PVR INOX Cinemas in 46 cities.

Karan Johar, the producer of the film, recently spoke about its re-release and said, “Yeh Jawaani Hai Deewani holds a special place in the heart of Dharma Productions. The film has great music, stunning locations, some of our most loved actors, and a story that resonates across all generations. It's just the perfect film to start the new year. The film leaves you with a warm, fuzzy feeling about life. We can't wait to see how Gen Z feels about watching it as adults on the big screen while millennials join in, singing along and repeating all the dialogues before the actors do.”

Meanwhile, director Ayan Mukerji said, “This movie feels like my second child, a part of my heart and soul. More than a decade later, I can confidently say that creating it was one of the greatest joys of my life. What we accomplished, despite its perfections and imperfections, remains a source of immense and lasting pride for me.”

Earlier, Dharma Productions’ ‘Kal Ho Naa Ho’ had also witnessed a successful re-release. The film starring, Shah Rukh Khan, Preity Zinta, Jaya Bachchan and Saif Ali Khan, recorded housefull shows in Delhi and Mumbai.

Besides ‘Kal Ho Naa Ho’, films like ‘Tumbbad’, ‘Rockstar’, ‘Laila Majnu’, ‘Veer Zara’, and ‘Rehnaa Hai Terre Dil Mein’ were also re-released in theatres in 2024.

Coming back to ‘YJHD’, the film is also known for its chartbuster songs such as 'Badtameez Dil', 'Balam Pichkari', and 'Dilliwaali Girlfriend', among others.
