“OG Manjulika” Vidya Balan Joins ‘Bhool Bhulaiyaa 3’ Cast, Fans Say “Please Bring Akshay Kumar”
Kartik Aaryan has made an exciting announcement, confirming that “OG Manjulika” Vidya Balan has joined the cast of ‘Bhool Bhulaiyaa 3’.
The cast of ‘Bhool Bhulaiyaa 3’ has just gotten bigger and better! Bollywood actor Kartik Aaryan, who delivered a hit in the form of the 2022 Hindi movie ‘Bhool Bhulaiyaa 2’, has made an exciting announcement. He has revealed that “OG Manjulika” Vidya Balan has now joined the cast of the third installment of ‘Bhool Bhulaiyaa’. He also revealed that the horror-comedy film will be released in cinemas during Diwali 2024. For the unversed, Vidya Balan was a part of the blockbuster 2007 film ‘Bhool Bhulaiyaa’, which also starred Akshay Kumar in the lead role.
Kartik Aaryan took to X (formerly Twitter) to share an edited video of Vidya Balan and himself performing on ‘Ami Je Tomar’, arguably the most iconic song from the hit movie franchise.
He captioned the post as, “And it's happening. Og Manjulika is coming back to the world of BhoolBhulaiyaa. Super thrilled to welcome @vidya_balan. This Diwali is going to be crackling #BhoolBhulaiyaa3.”

As soon as Kartik Aaryan shared the post on X, several fans welcomed back Vidya Balan to the franchise, while others expressed their desire to see Akshay Kumar returning as well.
A user commented, “Want @akshaykumar.”
“Entertainment double,” wrote another user.
A third user commented, “Please bring Akshay Kumar back. We want to see him alongside Vidya Balan and Kartik Aaryan.”

For the unversed, ‘Bhool Bhulaiyaa 2’ was released in May 2022. The film starred Kartik Aaryan, Tabu, and Kiara Advani in the lead roles.
As of now, it is not known whether Kiara Advani will be a part of ‘Bhool Bhulaiyaa 3’ or not. The horror comedy will be directed by Anees Bazmee.
Anees Bazmee had earlier praised Kartik Aaryan for his work in the second installment of the popular franchise.
“If we make another psychological thriller, there will be too many comparisons with the first edition. We have upped the ante in horror. There is no buffoonery, we’ve opted [to fill it with] situational comedy instead. And Kartik is extremely natural and comfortable at comedy,” Anees had told Mid-Day.
Kartik Aaryan will next be seen in ‘Chandu Champion’, directed by Kabir Khan. The film is slated to release in cinemas on June 14, 2024, and it will be clashing with Kangana Ranaut's ‘Emergency’.
Kartik Aaryan also has Anurag Basu's ‘Aashiqui 3’ in the pipeline.
