Neena Gupta's Savage Reply To Troll Asking Her Not To Show Legs
Neena Gupta shut down ageist trolling with grace and sass after being criticised for wearing shorts in her latest airport video.
Veteran Bollywood actress Neena Gupta is once again setting an example of confidence, self-assurance, and unapologetic individuality. The veteran actress, known for her candid nature and non-conformist fashion sense, recently posted a relatable video from an airport – sharing her go-to homemade snack and, unknowingly, stirring up a needless debate around age-appropriate dressing. In the video shared on her Instagram account, Neena Gupta was seen in a black outfit, sitting in the waiting area of an airport.
She looked relaxed as she revealed her travel food hack: carrying roti rolls packed with potatoes, paneer, onions, chillies, and more, instead of relying on airport food. With the caption “Shorts wali desi girl,” the video exuded her signature blend of simplicity and sass.

However, a user took issue with her attire and left a comment: “Very good ...only request dont show your legs, they are not well toned ...we have never seen dadi mummy showing their legs this way ...ageing gracefully is excellent.”
Another user immediately called out the comment, labelling it “demeaning” and an example of body shaming.
Neena Gupta didn’t hold back in her reply. With trademark wit, she wrote, “Don’t worry. These people who talk like this are basically jealous that they don’t have such good body, so ignore.”
The clapback drew widespread praise from fans, many of whom hailed her for breaking stereotypes and refusing to conform to dated ideas about how women should dress, especially as they grow older.
This isn't the first time Neena Gupta has faced unwarranted criticism for her choice of clothing. In a previous interview with NDTV, she addressed online trolling, saying, “If I look at the comments below my post, there are 500 good comments and two who speak ill about me. Why should I care about those two comments? It's a free country; everyone has the right to speak their mind. And with the advent of social media, this freedom is exercised more often now.”
“Aap ko nahi achha laga, koi baat nahi. Mujhe jo achha laga, main woh karungi na,” Neena Gupta added.
Meanwhile, on the work front, Neena Gupta was last seen in ‘Metro… In Dino’, Anurag Basu’s romantic drama featuring an ensemble cast. The film, starring Aditya Roy Kapur, Sara Ali Khan, Fatima Sana Shaikh, Ali Fazal, Anupam Kher, Pankaj Tripathi and Konkana Sen Sharma, was a box office success.
