‘Mardaani 3’ Trailer: Rani Mukerji Faces A Chilling New Foe In The Franchise’s Darkest Chapter Yet. Watch
The much-awaited trailer of Rani Mukerji’s ‘Mardaani 3’ is finally out, with the film set to release on January 30, 2026.
The wait is finally over! Yash Raj Films has officially dropped the high-octane trailer for ‘Mardaani 3’, and it promises a cinematic experience that is grittier, darker, and more intense than its predecessors. Bollywood actress Rani Mukerji returns to her iconic role as the fearless, no-nonsense cop Shivani Shivaji Roy. And this time, she isn't just fighting a criminal – she’s racing against a clock that is ticking toward a national tragedy.
Check out the trailer of ‘Mardaani 3’ here:
The trailer opens with a haunting sequence of a young girl being snatched away in broad daylight, immediately setting a sombre tone. Text overlays remind us of a grim reality: “In a country that worships goddesses, thousands of daughters go missing every week.” We soon learn the scale of the crisis. Shivani (Rani), who has now moved to the National Investigation Agency (NIA), is confronted with a terrifying statistic – 93 girls have vanished across the country in just three months. The investigation leads her to the heart of a beggar mafia that operates with surgical precision, targeting 8-to-11-year-old girls from underprivileged backgrounds.
While Tahir Raj Bhasin and Vishal Jethwa set high bars for villains in the previous installments, ‘Mardaani 3’ introduces a new kind of evil. Mallika Prasad stars as ‘Amma’, the ruthless queenpin of a beggar mafia based in Kusumpur.
Amma is not just a gang leader; she is a manipulative force who claims her cut reaches every level of the system. The trailer hints at a motive far more disturbing than simple trafficking, showing glimpses of medical testing kits (CA-125 tests) and syringes, suggesting an organ harvesting or illegal medical testing nexus that Shivani must dismantle.
The trailer is packed with the franchise's signature raw action. From narrow-alley chases in Bulandshahr to explosive confrontations in Delhi, Shivani Shivaji Roy is seen in top form – hand-to-hand combat, high-speed pursuits, and a relentless psychological battle with Amma.
One of the most striking moments in the trailer is a phone conversation between the two leads. When Amma mockingly asks if Shivani has ever received a cut from the system, Shivani delivers a spine-chilling retort: “I don't take cuts from people like you... I cut people like you down.” The stakes become personal towards the end, as a tip-off suggests that Amma is now targeting Shivani's own home.
Directed by Abhiraj Minawala and written by Aayush Gupta, the film is produced by Aditya Chopra. The cast also features Janki Bodiwala in a pivotal role.
In a surprise move for fans, the makers also announced that the film’s release has been preponed. Originally slated for late February, ‘Mardaani 3’ will now storm into cinemas on January 30, 2026.
With its hard-hitting dialogue, realistic portrayal of crime, and Rani Mukerji’s powerhouse performance, ‘Mardaani 3’ looks set to be the first major blockbuster of 2026.
