The past week saw Bollywood actress Malaika Arora become the biggest social media talking point. The reason is the pictures and videos of her having some candid moments with Splitsvilla X6 fame Sorab Bedi. The snapshots spread like wildfire on social media, and the rumour mills went into overdrive, with the internet pondering whether the duo were dating. The two recently attended a party at the 'Chaiyya Chaiyya' girls’ restaurant in Juhu. Sorab Bedi has now finally come clean, giving a clear answer regarding the equation the duo shares.

Sorab has put the rumours to rest, saying he and Malaika are just good friends and there’s nothing more.
“Delnaz Daruwala and Vahbiz Mehta gave me a chance to walk the ramp during my modelling days. I became friends with them and started going out to parties. At one of the parties, I met Malaika (Arora) through my mentors. She is also a close friend of Delnaz and Vahbiz. Hence, Malaika and I became friends. There is nothing between us,” he told Times Now.

He also expressed his disappointment with people cooking up conspiracy theories and not letting people put their guard down and enjoy some private moments.
“People are talking several things about us. They should think twice before speaking about a girl. It could affect her mental state. Aisa karna nahin chahiye. I didn't party with them for the first time. I have been partying with Vahbiz, Delnaz and Malaika for many years. I earlier used to share pictures with Malaika, but at that time, I was not a known face,” he said.
“Now, I am a known face; hence, it is now being noticed by people. I have shared such videos and photos before as well. Two people can be friends. We trust each other, but people took it differently,” he added.
Earlier, Malaika Arora was dating Arjun Kapoor. The duo was together for several years, but they parted ways in 2024. Bollywood actor Arjun confirmed the split during the promotions for Rohit Shetty's 'Singham Again'.
When the crowd started chanting Malaika's name, Arjun confirmed he was single, and the two had gone their separate ways. "Nahi nahi abhi single hun, relax karo," he said.
Before dating Arjun, Malaika was married to Salman Khan's brother Arbaaz. The duo was together for 19 years before calling it quits in 2017. However, they continue to co-parent their son Arhaan.
Meanwhile, on the work front, Malaika Arora last featured in a special dance number titled ‘Poison Baby’. The song featured in Rashmika Mandanna and Ayushmann Khurrana’s movie ‘Thamma’. Co-starring Nawazuddin Siddiqui, it was released in cinemas on October 21, 2025.
