"Why Am I...": How Kareena Kapoor Negated Two "Deepika Padukone" Bouncers From Karan Johar
'Koffee With Karan 8': Kareena Kapoor managed to deflect Karan Johar's questions on Deepika Padukone, not once but twice.
In the latest episode of Karan Johar's chat show 'Koffee With Karan 8', Kareena Kapoor Khan and Alia Bhatt graced the couch together. The latest Koffee With Karan 8 episode turned out to be truly fun, and both Kareena and Alia let their guard down, and the duo spoke on variety of topics. During the rapid fire segment, Karan Johar asked Kareena Kapoor whether she sees Deepika Padukone as her "competition". Kareena Kapoor, however, managed to deflect Karan Johar's bouncers, and despite his two attempts, the host was not able to get the desired answer from Bebo.
"Do you consider Deepika Padukone as competition," asked Karan Johar.
To this, Kareena said, "Me," and to this, KJo replied, "Yes, you."
Replying to this, Kareena said, "No, I think this is Alia's question for her rapid fire. Not for me. I don't know why am I being asked this question?”
When Kareena Kapoor pointed towards Alia Bhatt, the 'Gangubai Kathiawadi' actress said, "Please… not at all. Why would she be? She’s (Deepika) my senior. There’s no competition.”
During the rapid fire segment, Alia Bhatt also complimented Deepika Padukone's on-screen presence, saying, "DP’s just… like her presence… when she comes on screen you can’t help but look at her.”
Karan Johar then also asked Kareena Kapoor who according to her is “the better Sanjay Leela Bhansali muse” among Deepika, Alia and Aishwarya Rai Bachchan.
“Please don't say my name. Just take anybody else's name," Alia told Kareena.
“I still have a chance to work with him. So," said Kareena.
In the episode, Kareena Kapoor also said that Alia Bhatt is the "best actress in the last decade."
“I do feel like she is the best actress that has happened in the last decade,” she said.
Karan Johar then tried to instigate another reaction from Kareena, saying, “After you?”
To this, Kareena responded, “You said it. I didn’t. I genuinely feel like she is unbelievable on screen.”
