Homi Adajania shared a fun-filled photo dump from the shoot of ‘Cocktail 2’, offering glimpses of Shahid Kapoor, Kriti Sanon and Rashmika Mandanna ahead of the film’s release.
With ‘Cocktail 2’ just days away from its June 19, 2026 theatrical release, director Homi Adajania has pulled back the curtain on his most-anticipated film, sharing a candid behind-the-scenes carousel on Instagram. Captioned "Rando bts dump of the Cocktail2 shoot. Round#1. Fun was had!", the post has already crossed 3,100 likes, with the filmmaker's wife and the film's costume designer, Anaita Shroff Adajania, dropping a warm "Best times" in the comments. Calling it "Round #1" suggests there's plenty more where this came from.
The Homi Adajania-directed sequel to the 2012 cult favourite reunites the filmmaker with producer Dinesh Vijan's Maddock Films and brings together a fresh love triangle: Shahid Kapoor, Kriti Sanon and Rashmika Mandanna, sharing the screen for the very first time. The first major schedule was shot across the sun-soaked island of Sicily, Italy, and these frames are soaked in exactly that Mediterranean warmth.

Homi Adajania kicked off the carousel himself, sliding on a pair of white-framed shades in a black sleeveless tee, all easy off-duty energy against a plant-draped Sicilian wall. In the video, Homi Adajania can be seen playfully slurping a long strand of spaghetti dangling from his mouth.
This was followed by the two leading ladies – Kriti Sanon and Rashmika Mandanna – in one playful frame. They posed for the camera on either side of Homi Adajania sporting red devil horns, with the goofy chemistry doing all the talking.
In the next shot, Homi Adajania was seen laughing uncontrollably with Shahid Kapoor. One of the shots also featured a black-and-white moment of the director mid-conversation with a member of his team, and a sun-drenched coastal beat where the crew gathered around a board game by the rocks.
A piazza selfie and a striking staircase framed by bougainvillea and bold street art grounded the dump firmly in Italy. Kriti Sanon featured in the staircase frame, lost in the moment against the baroque backdrop.
Rashmika Mandanna beamed on a night set, an extreme close-up lingered on Kriti’s expressive eyes, and a luminous, wind-swept hair-flip shot teased the visual texture of what's expected to be a lavish song sequence. The energy spiked in a poolside set photo, with Homi Adajania caught mid-stride in athletic blacks as the full crew buzzed around him.
Positioned as a spiritual successor to the original, that gave Bollywood the chartbusters ‘Tumhi Ho Bandhu’ and ‘Daaru Desi’, ‘Cocktail 2’ is written by Tarun Jain and Luv Ranjan, with music by Pritam. If "Round #1" is anything to go by, the countdown to release just got a lot more fun.
