Watch Video: First Look Of Shoojit Sircar’s Next Film, Starring Abhishek Bachchan, Unveiled
Shoojit Sircar and Abhishek Bachchan are collaborating for a new untitled film. The first glimpse of the project has been released.
Abhishek Bachchan, son of veteran stars Amitabh Bachchan and Jaya Bachchan, hails from one of Bollywood's most iconic families. Abhishek Bachchan made his Bollywood debut in the 2000 film ‘Refugee’, co-starring Kareena Kapoor Khan. Over the years, Abhishek Bachchan showcased his versatility as an actor, featuring in a diverse range of films spanning various genres. His notable movies include the ‘Dhoom’ franchise, ‘Guru’, ‘Sarkar’, ‘Yuva’, ‘Bunty Aur Babli’, ‘Dostana, ‘Delhi 6’, and ‘Ghoomer’. At the recent Prime Video India event, Abhishek Bachchan announced two new films.
One with director-choreographer Remo D’Souza, titled ‘Be Happy’, and the other one is an untitled movie with ace filmmaker Shoojit Sircar. While viewers were treated to the first look of ‘Be Happy’, the first glimpse of Shoojit Sircar’s upcoming directorial venture was not released on the day of its announcement.
After making fans wait, Rising Sun Films, which is the production company behind the film, finally released the first glimpse of Shoojit Sircar and Abhishek Bachchan’s upcoming collaboration.

A clip of Abhishek Bachchan was shared on Instagram alongside snippets from Shoojit Sircar's previous films, such as ‘Vicky Donor’, ‘Madras Cafe’, ‘Piku’, ‘Sardar Udham’, ‘October’, ‘Yahaan’ and more.
The video provided a brief look at Abhishek Bachchan exploring unfamiliar streets and concluded with a serene lakeside scene featuring two characters seated next to a car.
The accompanying note read, “Shoojit Sircar’s next is a heartwarming tale about ‘celebration of life’ in its everyday ordinary chaos! It is an emotional journey with an entertaining narrative about a father and daughter who rekindle their precious bond while they navigate through life’s challenges.”
Apart from Abhishek Bachchan, the film will feature Johnny Lever, Ahilya Bamroo and Jayant Kriplani. The upcoming movie is being produced by Ronnie Lahiri and Sheel Kumar.
Speaking to Galatta Plus recently, Shoojit Sircar had shared that the film has been inspired by the life of his friend and that a large portion of the movie has already been shot.
He said, “It is a slice-of-life film...There is no secret as such but since we are shooting after a long time — the last time we shot, it was back in 2019 before the Covid-19 pandemic happened — the idea was to just shoot the film and announce it when the time is ripe. Announcements were happening almost every day, so my friend and producer Ronnie must have thought that it was best to take it slow.”
The director added, “It has Abhishek Bachchan in it. There are other characters as well but it is predominantly an Abhishek Bachchan film.”
