Despite 'A' Certificate To 'Animal', CBFC Chops Intimate Scenes In Ranbir Kapoor-Starrer

'Animal', starring Ranbir Kapoor, Bobby Deol, Anil Kapoor, Triptii Dimri and Rashmika Mandanna, will be releasing in theatres on December 1, 2023. The movie, directed by Sandeep Reddy Vanga, is one of the most-anticipated Indian movies of 2023, and the advance ticket sales indicate that the new Hindi movie will be taking a bumper opening in India. In the latest Bollywood movie updates, Central Board of Film Certification (CBFC) has decided to chop certain moments in the film despite giving it an 'A' (adults only) certificate.
As per NDTV, the CBFC has asked director Sandeep Reddy Vanga to make five changes to the film. One change involves “intimate visuals,” and talking about it, the report by CBFC states, “Modified the intimate visuals of Vijay and Zoya by deleting the close-up shots at TCR 02:28:37.”
The Censor Board has also ordered a word at 1 hour and 31 minutes to be modified to “Black” and the word “vastra” has been asked to be replaced with “costume”.
The word “naatak” at 2 hours and 13 minutes has also been asked to be muted, and the subtitles have been asked to be changed to “You change pads four times a month.”

For the unversed, Ranbir Kapoor-starrer 'Animal' has a run time of more than 3 hours. The new Hindi movie will be clashing with Vicky Kaushal-starrer 'Sam Bahadur'.
Talking about 'Animal', the film has so far sold 5,56,915 tickets, across India for Day 1. The new Hindi movie has already grossed Rs 15.19 crore.
The advance ticket sales of 'Animal' is being dominated by Delhi-NCR region. ‘Animal’ is expected to deliver the biggest opening of Ranbir Kapoor’s career, with current projections targeting Rs 50 crore on Day 1.
