On Friday, Poonam Pandey's official Instagram account stated that the actress had passed away due to cervical cancer, and the very next day, it was confirmed that this news was "fake" and it was all done to "create awareness". However, this antic did not go down well with anyone, and several celebrities and social media users slammed the actress for resorting to this PR gimmick.
In the latest entertainment news, a stand-up comedian brutally roasted Poonam Pandey, and the video is now going viral on social media.
"Kyun dukhi ho raha hai, khushi ka din hain. Apni poonam Zinda hai. Tiger gaya bhaad mein, Poonam zinda hai. Mujhe to pata he nahi tha ki aisa kuch ho raha hai, mere dost ka rote rote phone aaya kal, keh raha hai Poonam chali gayi, maine kaha aajayegi laut ke, kehra hai bread lene thodi gayi hai. Poonam Pandey on Saturday had announced that she is "alive" and she "faked" her own death to create awareness about cervical canner.
Taking to Instagram, she wrote, "I feel compelled to share something significant with you all - I am here, alive. Cervical Cancer didn’t claim me, but tragically, it has claimed the lives of thousands of women who stemmed from a lack of knowledge on how to tackle this disease. Unlike some other cancers, Cervical Cancer is entirely preventable."
For the unversed, Poonam Pandey is a popular model, and she first gained fame when she promised in a video message that she would strip if India ends up winning the final of 2011 Cricket World Cup.
On the work front, Poonam Pandey was last seen in the first season of Kangana Ranaut-hosted show 'Lock Upp'.
