Bobby Deol, Arjun Kapoor and Varun Dhawan recently grooved to the hit song ‘Jamal Kudu’ from ‘Animal’.
Sandeep Reddy Vanga’s latest directorial venture, ‘Animal’, has remained in the limelight ever since its release in December 2023. Starring Ranbir Kapoor, Rashmika Mandanna, and Anil Kapoor, the movie was severely criticised for glorifying misogyny and toxic masculinity. However, it still managed to make over Rs 500 crore in India. The Sandeep Reddy Vanga directorial gave Triptii Dimri’s career a major boost as she gained millions of followers despite having a brief role in the film. The 2023 Hindi movie also brought back Bobby Deol in the limelight.
‘Animal’ easily gave us some of the best tracks. And one among the many songs that people haven’t stopped talking about is ‘Jamal Kudu’. For the unversed, ‘Jamal Kudu’ from ‘Animal’ served as Bobby Deol’s entry song as his character Abrar was introduced to the viewers.
Bobby Deol's entry song ‘Jamal Kudu’, which is originally an Iranian track, became a huge rage on social media and many people recreated the viral hook step from it. Having said that, Bobby Deol's signature moves from the 90s are still remembered and have become iconic in many ways. At an awards show recently, Varun Dhawan and Arjun Kapoor imitated Bobby Deol’s 90s signature moves.
In a video shared by Pinkvilla on Instagram, Bobby, Varun and Arjun can be seen on stage with Maniesh Paul. As ‘Jamal Kudu’ played, Bobby Deol danced with a glass on his head.

Earlier, at another awards ceremony, Bobby Deol and his brother, actor Sunny Deol danced together on ‘Jamal Kudu’. Bobby Deol had earlier said that the signature step was his idea as he recalled his younger days in Punjab when people would get drunk and dance with glasses on their heads.
Post ‘Animal’, Bobby Deol is shooting for Aryan Khan's directorial debut 'Stardom', which is produced by Shah Rukh Khan. Bobby Deol will also make his Tamil debut with ‘Kanguva’, directed by Siva. The makers launched Bobby Deol's first look from the film in January 2024.
Bobby Deol is known for his work in Hindi films like ‘Barsaat’, ‘Soldier’, ‘Gupt’, ‘Humraaz’ and ‘Ajnabee’.
